Description

It's true! There is a filter that stops more dirt, yet manages to crank out the same power gains as the leading paper and gauze performance filters. It's the True Flow foam air filter.

The secret is a foam labyrinth of tiny interlock cells coated with a flame-retardant, non-drying oil. Dirt is trapped in the sticky twists and turns of the maze, never to find its way to your engine. At the same time, air breezes through the filter, which is 97% air itself.

Under normal conditions, the True Flow can go up to 50,000 miles between cleanings and oilings - True Flow Cleaning Kit with Foam Oil sold separately. Truth be told, the True Flow is the last air filter you'll ever need.

Notes

  • True Flow Cleaning and Maintenance Kit with Foam Oil sold separately.

"I saw a slight increase in mpg (1-2 mpg). Also, I like the fact that its lighter weight than other re-usable filters (K&N, Airaid). Overall, a very good drop-in filter."

True Flow

Posted on 01/19/2006 by Genesis G. - 1997 Toyota 4-Runner (Kent,WA)

"After opening the box, I'm impressed - what i found out is an air filter of a high quality. The frame is rigit and it fits in my airbox soo tight. Two weeks of daily driving and after installing True Flow airfilter on my 4runner, i felt that it improved throttle response. With regards to how it filter dirt, that remains to be seen till my next oil change. I highly recommend this air filter!"

True Flow Air Filters are Superior to others . . .

Posted on 12/19/2005 by Dan H. (Jenks,OK)

"Installed a True-Flow Foam Performance Filter on my 2004 GMC Envoy. Have gained 5% increase in gas mileage and quicker acceleration during in-town driving. The filter will last 30,000 miles before requiring cleaning and reoiling. I urge you go to True Flow's web site and see a video showing its ability to out perform all other filters (including K&N) using a standard filtration test. It is also less expensive than many others. The filter is well made and durable. Don't just take my word for it, check it out for yourself."

My Wife could care less

Posted on 12/14/2005 by Joe P. - 2003 Nissan Altima (Lakewood,CO)

"Installed in my wife's car about a month ago. Last filter I put in my car was a K & N. Instructions said to work the surfactant into the filter. I think that is what they called the gooey stuff that was poured onto the filter, and then placed in a bag. Looks like the filter was stored on it's end and most of the 'stuff' ran down to there. Installed easy enough. To soon to tell how it compares to K & N. I'm sure only True Flow and K & N would be able to tell me that."

Excellent Product

Posted on 12/13/2005 by Matthew P. (Burleson,TX)

"After using paper filters for years, I decided to upgrade to a higher quality filter for my Silverado. I researched the internet and found the True Flow to be the best design for air flow and filtration. Combined with an Airaid Modular Intake Tube (MIT) I noticed a bit better throttle response and a more notable exhaust sound. Both products fit in the stock location between the air box and throttle body perfectly. With AutoAnythings great pricing and free shipping I could not go wrong."

Engine Air Filter Replacement

Posted on 12/02/2005 by William M. (Snellville,GA)

"I recently replaced the original air box paper air filter in my 2004, Chysler 300M Special (has 47,700 miles on it with the 3.5L H.O. engine) with the drop-in True Flow foam filter # 31200. I am very pleased with the results of increased engine performance : engine idle speed warm and cold increased about 75 to 100 RPMs ; strength of engine acceleration increased through the RPM range ; and early miles per gallon readings from my on-board computer indicate about a one to one and a half mile increase per gallon using shell or exxon 93 octane gasoline. Good filter - more air, more power, more mileage!"

Nice quality, more trapped dirt

Posted on 10/24/2005 by Dale B. - 2002 Acura MDX (Clovis,CA)

"The quality of these filter is beyond similar I've seen from amsoil. I used K&N for quite a while with no problem. But it bothers me that they pass so much fine contamination. I believe the TF foam are much better in this regard, as long as service is maintained. Would love to see these in a filter test against other models."

Posted on 10/10/2005 by Larry K. - 2005 Nissan Quest (Platte City,MO)

"True Flow air filters are top quality products. I previously was using a "performance" gauze-with-oil type filter and although they are known for increasing air flow, I worried about them not filtering out the dirt real well. Thirty years ago when in the vehicle maintenance business, I sold a foam-with-oil air filter. All tests then said they were the best type for trapping dirt yet letting air though. I've read recent tests and the foam-with-oil filter still beats the other types. Fairly recently I came across True Flow on the Internet. I immediately bought one for the vehicle I had. Since then I've had four different new vehicles and I installed a True Flow in each. I appears to me that True Flow has improved the foam material and oil from the foam filters I sold 30 years ago. When teaching vehicle maintenance, I stressed that cleanliness is the keyword, whether oil, grease, gasoline, coolant, spark plugs, air, etc. The True Flow air filter is the best protectant I know of for keeping an engine clean and properly maintained so as to cause the least wear from dirt, yet get efficient air flow for better fuel mileage."
