"If you wish to increase your miles per gallon, order a K&N Airfilter from Autoanything, right now. I drive a 2002 Honda Accord, whose EPA MPG figures are listed as 19/24 for a 3.0 V-6. At some point within the last few years, the procedures for measuring MPG in new vehicles has been altered to more accurately reflect those seen in the real world by consumers of new automobiles. As such, the 19/24 for my 2002 Honda Accord would now likely drop to 17 or 18 for city and 21 or 22 for highway. In spite of these seemingly decent numbers, as long as I have kept a K&N in the engine bay, I have averaged a combined city/highway of 26 MPG. Keep in mind, this includes city driving too, in which 5 days a week, I drive 18 miles to work, though the trip takes 60 minutes due to slow, stop and go traffic from suburbia to my office. On an exclusive highway trip, I can get up to 29-30 MPG with a 3.0 V-6. Some of this is Honda engineering, but in 2002, as you can see from above, the EPA listed 24 as the ceiling and I'm beating that by 5 MPG. In this day and age of $4.00 per gallon, my savings are: 5 MPG over 17.1 gallons in tank = 85.5 additional miles per tank full before each additional fill up or at least $8.00+ cheaper per fill up. Now tell me, is that worth $40+ for an air filter you won't have to change for 50,000 miles worth it? Clear and simple, the answer is yes. Buy a K&N air filter and you will save $$ at the pump, beginning with your next fill up."

"Swapped out the K&N for the OEM giant sponge-like air filter....amazed to find a 1.6 MPG increase! With gas prices as high as they are, every MPG helps. For those looking for a capable yet economic vehicle, check out the LR3. Traded in my Hummer H2 and I'm really happy with this truck. It's extremely luxurious, plus it will go anywhere the H2 could go.....and I'm getting 19.5 MPG from a 300 HP V8!"

"After about 700 miles I can say that the K&N Air Filter didn't`t improve my gas millage and didn't`t gave more HP to my old C230. And was installed correctly, don`t worry about this, I`m a mechanical engineer. But I am not disappointed, I had to change it anyway. IMHO, the OEM Mann filter makes his job and you will not notice anything. Sorry guy!"

"I have used K&N air filters for the past 7 or so years. I love the fact that I never have to bother with buy another filter, also, the fact my engine will breathe a little easier and get more air means a little more power. I always replace my vehicles with K&N."

Installing your filter in my 2000 Saturn

"I was really impressed with your filter - appearance, price, etc. Your filter is not the average "run of the mill" filter. I've never seen one like yours before. However, installing it was a pain in the neck. I have nothing negative whatsoever to say about your filter - it's my Saturn that was a pain in the neck. I had to disconnect a lot of hoses, clamps, etc. My Saturn is a V-6 and everything is jammed up against everything else. I finally got your filter installed and felt a sense of accomplishment. Your filter is absolutely the top of the line. My MPG jumped from 26 to 29 and that's just running around town, etc. Haven't had it on the open road yet, but I'm sure I'll see an improvement there also. I'm going to order one for my '94 Cutlass and my '03 Hyundai."

"I bought this due to the nice adds in the automotive magazines . As I did more research, questions regarding the effectiveness of filtration on top of possible negative engine effects came up. Issues with air sensors and filtration have come up. I like the fact that it allows less restrictions on the intake, but I don't like to compromise the effectivness of filtration. Bottom line, is additional engine wear worth the few horsepower? gas mileage claims are mixed so It isn't a hands down improvement in fuel efficiency."

"There is no noticable difference in throttle response or gas mileage. However that does not mean it's not saving me money. Spread the cost of the filter over 5 years of replacement filters and it more than pays for itself. Standard throwaway filters for my Mits Endeavor cost $17-$20 each. Same for my Ram. K&N was about $50.

"I have a K&N filter in my company truck for years, run one in my motorcycle, and just purchased this one for my wifes new 1997 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM. These air filters perform great! I keep check on them every 25,000 mille or so, I have only cleaned my motorcycle one once after 15,000 miles only because it is exposed to the elements. My truck I just checked again after 35,000 miles and I will probably clean it this fall, or about 45,000 miles of total usage. Yes, they do exactly what they are supposed to do filter air, and hold a lot of dirt in suspension. They are great and will last the life of your car/truck. Kevin Niantic,CT"

"I was looking to get a little more gas mileage on my truck. With the K&N filter I get about a mile more per gallon. I was looking for about 2 but 1 gallon is still good. Horsepower is a little better to. Overall I'm satisfied."

"I've been taking many steps to get the best gas milage. So I am keeping track of each step and the gains I get to see if it's working or not. The K&N filter was very easy to install and the best part is that I picked up another 3.4 miles to the gallon and it still seems to be getting better. I can't wait to see what I top out at.
Thanks K&N
