"I used K&N in my 1994 Goldwing 1500CC for 86000 Mi., in my 1988 Beaver 36ft. diesel motorhome, in my wife's 2001 Ford Focus, in my 1973 Ford Baja Bronco. Every one of my vehicle's gained power and better MPG and I never had to replace one. My son has one in his 2007 Lincoln MKX and my daughter has one in her 2008 Ford Edge and 2001 F150 4x4 and tell me they have more power and MPG also. K&N are by far the best filter out there. Bob "

"Love K&N filters. A drop in panel filter is a great choice for those not wanting to spend the money on a full cold air system (and the tune required for it on newer cars)."

"K&N filters are great, they allow more air for your engine which in turn helps the gas mileage, and power output. They capture more dirt and are reusable saving money over time. Every vehicle I own has a K&N air filter, I wouldn't go without one."

"I don't believe it helps mileage. I had K& N air filters but none of my cars gained better mileage. But, considering you will be changing air filters for every 3000 or 4000 miles or so for $15- $20, the amounts add up quickly. For about $45 and refill kits that can be used for about $15, it is much better deal and you are doing a favor for the environment."

"Any negative reviews on this filter only means the user does not know how to install it. Instructions are very simple if used in conjubction with the owners manual. I have used K&N for years and never had a complaint!"

"I've used K&N in the past on all my cars, so I couldn't wait to put in XLR since it has 2 air filters, not one. The moment I put them in and drove, I could feel the difference. My wife thought the car felt lighter. I had more power, better milage, and that great rumble from the exhaust. I now get over 23 miles to the gallon 'overall'. Not bad for a vette engine. I highly recommend this filter to anyone who wants increased performance at a small cost."

"I have been using K&N filters in my vehicles for many years. It has excellent filtration and is less air restrictive than the conventional filters. Easy to maintain and re-charge. One suggestion would be to have a better labeling method to place on or near the filter box; a better adhesion to withstand the engine compartment heat without falling off, perhaps a mechanical attachment."

"Perfect drop-in replacement for my Buick's 3.8L. Filter fit better & sealed more securely than the paper one it replaced. It should do a better job of sealing & trapping dust. Since I am planning to keep the car for at least 3 years, there should be a real savings by not buying the $20 throw-away filters every 6 months. I have been using the K & N filters in other vehicles for more than 150,000 miles & have never had any problem cleaning them with the recharge kit."

"After installing this air filter, I decided to test out a few things. The first thing was to see if there was any increase in MPG. After 1 tank of gas.. no real increase. I then decided on the second tank of gas to see of there was any increase in performance. I have to honestly say that I did notice a small amount. The car seems to be quicker on acceleration and I can feel a difference in power. (I have a Dodge Caliber SRT4). I would recommend this filter to everyone."

"I installed this K&N on my civic and I can't really tell the difference with it installed. At the very least, I won't have to buy the paper filters anymore but I don't really think it is a good at upping mileage and horsepower as others say."

"I haven't done any testing to confirm my assumption, but the car feels like it's got more "pep" since I installed the filter. Further, you can't go wrong buying a K&N filter, if you think about the money you save buying a K&N filter versus replacing OEM filter every 6-12 months over the life of your car."
