"I could really tell the pickup right away. The acceleration was smoother. Not sure about the gas yet, I'll have to compute the mpg over the next two fill ups."

"Accord V6. The engine definitely breathes better. Feels like I lost a little torgue at low end, but makes up for it at mid and top end. Gunning it at 65 is like being shot out of a cannon! Surprisingly though, the car also shifts smoother now, which is a welcome plus. Honda correct ECU resetting: With cold engine, change filter, disconnect both battery terminals, touch together for 30 seconds, reconnect, positive then negative. With everything off, start car without touching gas, let idle to normal operating temp. That's it. Enjoy!"

"I think I picked-up a couple of HP and I know I picked-up about 2 mpg via my dash board gauge.I paid 47 dollars for it ,but it should be 40 dollars. But for a panel drop-in reusable filter, it is still a good price and of high quality. Mike"

"This air filter is great. I've had it for a few weeks and I have notice that my 08 Fusion has increased gas mileage but it also increased acceleration. I enjoy driving my Fusion and would recommend it to anyone."

"I needed a new air filter for a Chevy Venture and found a standard paper one in a parts store for about $30. I decided to wait a while to see if I could find a K&N filter online. I knew it would be more than the paper filter but, for only about $10 more I would have a filter that lasts forever!! I looked around on several sites and this site had the filter for the same price as everyone else with cheaper shipping. Installing the filter was difficult. That's not the fault of K&N, though. Chevy buries the airbox and it doesn't help being 20 outside at the time of installation."

"These filters are terrific! I transferred my first one to four different F 150s, second one to a 2006 tundra, and now third one to a 2007 Ridgeline. Quality is superb, installation generally five minutes or less. I have the cleaning kit so once a year clean them up. One time investment, says money and saves gas. "I installed the K&N in my 2007 Cadillac SRX hoping to get a mile or two extra per gallon. Instead, my gas mileage has actually gone down at least that much. I am very disappointed. While I think K&N make a good quality product and I have used them in the past on other vehicles, it didn't meet expectations this time."

"I now have a K&N filter in both of my vehicles, and the performace gains, if any, are not really that noticable. When you really hammer down on the accelerator, which isn't very often for me, you can hear the difference. The major factor of why I purchased the K&N filter is the no hassle maintenance. 100K miles, for real? You never have to worry about changing the air filter in your car if that's the case. Maybe K&N should make 100K mile fuel filters, oil filters, and any other filter you can imagine. Good prodcut, and it will save $$ in the long run if you perform regular maintenance."

Why fill up or land with disposables

"I'm not sure when it first started, but the idea of a disposable world is ridiculous. Lighters, pens, razors, and of course filters for everything has slowly turned into a disposable attitude that carries all the way up to cars, relationships and even employees. The K & N filter is a perfect example of how we can keep things for life literally and they don't become obsolete and with little concern about going out of style. Thomas Edison's first light bulb is still working yet I have to replace bulbs every year? If more company's found a way to make products you never or at least almost never had to replace I am sure people would gladly pay the extra price. Beyond the landfill is the energy it requires to make ship and sell the item over and over because it's disposable. Not to mention the time we all take to go out and get the items to replace the ones that were either designed to fail two minutes after the warranty ran out or social pressure requires us to get something new due to style or incompatibility with new products like computers and software. I hope K&N continues to make this product forever. And I hope other companies realize the importance of quality over frequency of sales."

"I've used K&N air filters on my other two MBZ and a Ford Explorer. Clearly noticed the most improvement on the Explorer. I like knowing that they do a good job of filtering with better air flow than conventional air filters. I know I always wash out a lot of dirt when I clean the filters. I just put my latest K&N filter in my Prius. Can too much air affect performance of a tiny 4 cyclinder? The K&N filters are good. I guess if they can be cleaned and reused repeatedly, they have to be expensive."
