"At $48, The K&N filter for the 2005 legacy GT costs $20 more than the regular replacement filter yet is of much better quality. Given that they can be washed, this filter is also a great value in the long run. Although it is a bit too soon to determine if it will save on gas or improve performance, the initial impression of 200 miles suggests a 1mpg improvement. The mpg gain notwhitstanding over the life of the car this filter will pay for itself many times over."

"I have K&N lifetime air filters in all of my vehicles. It has helped improve my gas mileage. I save money because I don't have to pay for replacement filters and the associated labor at the dealers. It is much easier to just buy one filter for the life of the car and clean it every 40K or so."

"I have used a K&N filter on my wife's RX 330 for 5 years - not a hot rod but better mileage and more responsive performance - same with the new on her new RX 350. Used a pair of filters on my C6 Corvette and what a difference along with Coursa exhaust and new air flow meter. Replaced the stock filter system with a K&N filter system and got even more kick. Overall a great way to more performance and mileage, if you can keep your foot out of it. Easy to clean - once on the Vette after 50k and the RX 330 when it hit 60k. The K&N costs the same as a stock Lexus paper filter or pair of GM filters for the Vette - no brainer!"

"I installed a panel-type K&N in my BMW 540i. Installation was straightforward- the filter fit perfectly. I did not notice a significant increase in performance (since the BMW has a decent intake design), but the filter quality and longetivity will be a benefit."

"Just put it in a few days ago and the vehicle seems to have a little bit better throttle response. As far as mileage goes, I'm not sure because I didn't do a MPG eval, but I suspect it will be the same or slightly better. I have used K&N air filters for all of my cars and have always been very pleased. Too bad they don't include the recharge kit with the filters anymore."

"I have had the K&N Air Filter on my A4 Audi for some time and there is no question on the value. My mileage went up enough to see the difference on the car's computer readout. I put a K&N Air Filter from Autoanything on my wife's Highlander. Two weeks later she asked me if I did something to the car because she didn't have to put as much gas into it and it felt better to drive."

"The filters are good quality and were very easy to install. Visibly they looked like they flow more air. However, after installation I did not notice any difference in power. I timed the car from 0-100 before and after installation a few times. I was not able to record any measurable difference. I may have gained 2-4 hp but I could not measure the difference in the real word. Since I have plans to modify the car further, The filters may make a difference as the power level increses."

"My filter arrived promptly. Things I object to were no installation instructions for installing it in my 97 Land Rover Discovery. The generic instuctions just don't hack it. I also think it foolish that you do not provide cleaning instructions with the filter, but tell the customer to go online so more time and inconvenience occurs. The idea should be that you make it convenient for your customers to both install and know how to clean the filters. You have a great reputation for your products, but you can see the number of Companies going down the tubes because they ignore their customers and FAIL TO CONSISTENTLY IMPROVE."

"I replaced my 2 inch thick paper air filter from Acura with a new K & N filter and can already tell that the engine revs better. Not sure about the gas mileage because this makes want to rev the engine harder!"

"Exact replacement for my OEM air filter. I use K&N in all my cars and trucks and have noticed some increase in mileage, but the biggest factor is, I never have to buy another paper filter to keep my engines breathing "clean"."

"It is still early but here are my results after 2 weeks. I normally get 14 to 15 mpg in the city, slightly higher on the highway. My first tank averaged 18 mpg. Second tank averaged 12.7 mpg. I do a lot of stop and go driving in the city (Phoenix). I do notice a smoother running engine that appears to run cooler. Acceleration has always been good, but it is slightly better with this filter. All in all I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product. I'm going to track this a few more months and if the difference is noticeable, will install a filter on my wife's truck."

"I first purchased a K&N filter in 2002 for my Ford F-150 pickup. I then installed one in my 2005 Nissan Maxima, In 2006 I installed one in my Toyota Tacoma pickup. I just purchased a 2008 Toyoat Avalon and have onstalled one in it. I noticed an immediate increase in acceleration and my mileage has improved nominally. They are easy to service and well worth the investment. I have installed the one I had in my Ford Pickup in my father-in-law's 2003 Ford F-150 pickup and he has noticed the difference also. "Lots of vairables, put new tires on, changed to K&N filter. Mileage droped .8 per gallon. I drive through different states, so when I pull up to the pump I"m not sure what I"m getting in gas quality."

"The best upgrade you can purchase for the money. Never buy another air filter again and the quality of K&N will not let you down. My Civic has stopped gasping for air and runs with less RPM's. Going to get one for the wife's Toyota."

"I can tell that I've picked up a horse or two with off the line acculeration. Haven't noticed any extra MPG yet, hopefully there sure to come. What this vehicle needs is a cool air induction, but this filter is still a good buy."

"chevy put some tork screws at odd angles near the rad return hose but overall the install was very easy. the truck seemed to breath easier and the drop in filter worked as advertized. increase in hp is nominal.."
