My underpowered 4 cyl Dakota P/U

"My 98 Dodge Dakota 2.5 4 cyl is and has always been underpowered until I combined the K&N air filter with a Turbonator air line insert. What a difference! The truck now has almost 100,000 miles and for the first time ever I no longer have to downshift from 5th gear on grades. I also have plenty of get up and go in the lower gears. I have not calculated the gas mileage yet but am sure it will improve since my foot is no longer buried in the floorboard all the time."

"Easy to install works great definitly makes a difference in power could feel the difference upon first driving truck..will be interesting to see the mileage help..Also appreciate the good speedi service from AUto Anything plus the savings on price 10% from local parts stores and thats including delivery which is free.."

"I put the K&N filter in my 2003 Toyota Matrix and it dropped a few RPM at idle so I knew it was flowing more air. I seem to be getting better gas mileage around town but I haven't gone for any considerable distance to make an exact calculation. I am sure highway savings would be increased more than city mpg. Figuring these cost about twice what a regular filter would cost it is well worth it for a lifetime filter. If you take a total look at the oil and filter cleaner you have to buy it will take you a few years to come out ahead but after that it is all money in the bank (you will recoup your investment faster if you equip multiple vehicles since the oil and filter cleaner can be used for them as well)."

"When I removed the Honda filter it was apparent that the K&N filter was a much better quality filter.I don't feel any difference in performance (at 82 I and a slow driver), but I have picked up a couple miles of mileage."

"I am very happy with the products K&N make. I have two cars and a motorcycle with K&N filters for all. The filter allows better air flow into the engine while filtering the air with great efficiency. TO me it is peace of mind to have the best product on the market installed in my vehicles."

"Yep! That's what it feels like. Power and energy and performance on the small 4banger. Great mileage in the beginning, but better mileage now. My Son told me about K&N products and looked around for a bit and found Autoanything was, as it turned out, the fastest service and the best prices. Thanks Jim Parten An Old Texan"

"I have been using K & N filters for over 12 years and have them in all 3 of my vehicles including a 2009 Nissan Sentra. The others are a 2002 Ram, 5.9 that I use to tow a trailer and a 2006 Crown Victoria with the Police P-71 package. Mileage and performanced was enhansed as soon as I changed filters in each vehicle. Excellent product and well worth the initial expense. I highly recommend the filters and the old phrase " You Don't Know It Until You Try it " !"

"I have used K & N filters many times so buying the three filters for the prius, cobalt and ford engine in my new 2008 Born Free motorhome was a no brainer. I should have waited on the ford and bought the K&N air breather system. Perhaps I still will in 2009"

"only had my K&N filter in for a couple weeks, so I can't say if there is any difference in fuel economy, but I would say that I do feel an increase in HP, especially in those doggy 1st and 2nd gears. Could be imaginary, but somehow I don't think so, my wife agrees it feels peppier. For this car the filter was easy to install, but it was harder than I imagined to get the cover to snap back in place on the air filter since the rubber gasket on it is thicker and firmer than what was on the previous fram filter"

"I have had the filter in for about three weeks. the truck does seem to be faster and the exhaust sounds throatier, if you know what i mean. I'm still not sure about the mileage that I'm getting per gallon. It's not worse, but I'm not sure if it's better. maybe the engine has to get use to the filter. I had one of these filters in my camry and explorer, and the gas mileage did increase. I'll just have to wait and see."

"i put my 2nd k&n filter in my 2005 silverado hoping to get a little better mpg. shortly after i installed it i did my yearly drive down to the west coast of fla. form n.j. and i was pleasantly surprised to find that my mpg went from 15.9 to 20.5 wooo hooo!!!! at todays gas prices the filter paid for itself in 1 round trip i have since replaced all the filters in the rest of my vehicles including all my work vehicles for my business. even my 2 harleys have k&n's!!! buy one you'll like it!!"

"Was not pleased w/the product. I thought the whole concept behind the filter was air flow? The K&N was half the size of my stock filter lenght and radias being that way the clamp was need unlike the stock which fills the whole cavity of the filter compartment,and as for the improved gas miliage and horsepower I have'nt noticed a difference at all after all that I would have never wasted all that money on a filter being I'm a laid off auto-worker hoping it would save me $$$$ which it has'nt........"

"There is a lot I want to do to this car to improve its performance, this was a great place to start. A very simple investment in the K&N filter made a noticeable difference in the overall performance of my vehicle. A small increase in power, better (smoother) transition between gears and gas mileage as gone up."

"I have used K&N in Cars Trucks and Motorcycles. In my opinion they work well, save fuel and add power. Cleaning is not so nice but its not that bad either."
