08 Taurus K&N filter

"Installed the new K&N filter Sept 23 2008. There is not any noticable difference in horse power but I don't generally run up the RPM's to those levels. The MPG has actually increased about 1.5 MPG's from the last tank to this tank. No change in the type of driving 25% city 75% hwy/interstate. The MPG increase might be because the factory filter was ready to be changed and not all because of the easy flow of the K&N but I will take any increase I can get. Autoanything is a great place to buy the filter. They promptly processed the order and I had it in about 4 days from the time I ordered it. I had no issues with installing the filter into the factory box it fit just like a new paper one would. I would recommend this filter to anyone looking for a permanent filter for their vehicle(s)."

"I could not wait for my K N to arrive. I have used in my last 2 cars. A 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade and 2003 Nissan Altima. I'm averaging about 2.5 milles more per gallon."

"Installation was the exact same as replacing an OEM filter. I have noticed considerable performane increases and my gas mileage has increased approximately 10%. Will shortly be buying an additional unit for my truck"

"Installed air filter for my Dodge 3500 Diesel. After 1800 miles I have surmized that the air intake is better. It may be giving me a bit more power,but it's hard to tell without putting it on a Dino. Fuel consumption is the same as before. Not much change from the OEM except quality and of course and not having to purchase new filters all the time. Works great in my bike gave me extra mileage and pep. Thanks for a great product"

"I installed this filter about 2 weeks ago. I have yet to determine if my MPG has improved, I will find out on my road trip to the mountains next month. I have noticed the engine seems to breathe a little easier and accelerates a little quicker. At first I thought it was in my head but time has passed and I no longer think that. I would reccomend buying one. I paid $42 for mine and it will have paid for itself after 2 regular air filter replacements."

"if you want better gas mileage from your new/old car-install a K & N filter.I just bought a 2009 malibu and got a K & n filter first thing.My old malibu got 36 mpg on the highway and with my new malibu I am getting 40 mpg-I drive the speed limit and with the K & n filter thats what I get-factory says 30/35highway-Get a K & N!"

"An excellent product. But difficult to install. I had it installed on my 2007 Toyota Avalon. I have changed many Air Filters on Cars and have done minor tuneups on a twin engine boats that I have owned, but this installation was extremely difficult. I had a Mechanic do it for me. Trouble is Housing on this car does not make it easy to install these filters or any filter for that matter."

"Bought this to replace the standard on my nissan armada due to the fact I never need to buy another again, just clean it when needed. The throttle response has greatly improved, it feels more powerful and the fuel mileage has increased by 10% consistantly meaning a saving of $8 a tankful so taking off the cost of the standard filter replacement cost of $16 the filter has paid for itself in 4 tanks of gas!! This last tankfull returned 19.1mpg and I do not drive slowly."

"Installation took minutes, came pre-oiled, and ready to install. Noticable horsepower gain at low RPMs and even sounds better! The shipping took a little longer than expected but overall is excellent! Would highly recommend investing in one of these!"

"filter was simple to install, it took 10 minuttes or less. mileage has increased 1-2 miles per gallon in city driving, I'm geting approx 30 mpg on the highway with the 3.5 V-6. Filter was definately worth the money I paid considering the difference in mileage and time-life of the filter compared to normal filters.I average 3000 miles a month on this car."

"Chose K&N based on short and long term cost savings vs traditional "throw-away" filters; immediately felt difference in performance in terms of the sensation that engine was "breathing" freer and lower RPM torque; have not had the chance to measure the impact on MPG valuation as yet, but everything else being equal, still a sensible purchase"

"Before purchasing this filter, I looked high and low for a straight forward review on K&N drop in filters. The mixed reviews from folks who say they do not notice the difference show that many people do not pay attention to the performance of their automobiles. The additional torque created across the powerband is truly noticelable. The acceleration is much improved! The turbo spooling sound is enhanced. I am really impressed and pleased with the filter and absolutely recommend it!"
