"The Mercedes C240 engine has two air filters, and after installing the new K&N, the engine seems to run smoother and more aggressively. Installation took a little bit of figuring out, as you must remove the entire engive cover, where the filters are located, and then you need torx bits to undo, which I would suspect the average person would not have in their tool box. Total install time was about 15 minutes, which included cleaning the engine cover and vacuuming out the cold air intake tubes of debris. This is my forth purchase of K&N filters, and I beleive they really help the performance and MPG on the cars. Caroll in Maryland"

"I am very please but have not seen a great improvement in mileage. I would like to know how much horse power was added to my 2007 acura TL and what is the estimated gain in fuel economy. I drive 70% hwy and 30% city."

"I've been using K&N filters for years on numerous vehicles and recently purchased a 2008 cobalt SS. the first thing I did was purchase a K&N filter from auto anything and after installing it I immediately noticed quicker throttle response from the turbo. Ron. Kansas City"

"I have a Toyota Prius. The 1.5l gas engine needed a little boost for longer hills and other acceleration situations. I replaced the original air filter with a K&N and have noticed improved performance when I need it most. I haven't used the filter long enough to calculate any fuel savings. I'm just pleased with the improved performance."

"I recently purchased a K&N filter from AnythingAuto for my wife's car.I got a great price and free,fast shipping from AnythingAuto but I'm really dissapointed in K&N's manufacturing quality.The adhesive around the edge that holds the rubber outer seal to the filter is poorly applied (see photo)and extends 10%to15% onto the filter area. I called K&N and they promptly sent me 2 replacements (one by accident)They were even worse. I ended up trying to pick the best of the three(see photo) and sent the others back. I've always used K%N in the past but now I'm not so sure I'll use K&N again."

"NEVER AGAIN regular filters form Walmart and/or different so called "lube" store... NEVER AGAIN filter that doesn't have in product name K&N... even if you don't know anything about cars.. and if this is first time your are opening hood there is nothing more simpler than installing that air filter... even the way it looks... SWEET... no BS... and that extra kick... what PEOPLE are saying is true... driving on highway my engines RPM dropped to save me at least $8-10 for every 5 days of driving.. BLESS YOU GUYS for doing great job and not laying in advertisements..."

"I've installed K&N air filters in my last four vehicles. Most recent application is a 2006 Jeep Liberty Ltd 3.7L V6. Primary intent this time around was to improve gas mileage (avg ~16.5 mpg around town). Still a little too early to tell, but it looks like ~1 mpg improvement with the K&N filter. Also have one in my 2.7L V6 Chrysler, and had one in my 99 Dodge Durango 5.2L V8, and 97 3.5L V6 Intrepid Sport. Improved throttle response is immediately noticeable in the Jeep and Chrysler. As you can tell from this review, K&N offers a wide range of applications for their products. And prices and selection at AutoAnything meet or beat local brick and mortar outlets. K&N is an inexpensive way to improve performance, right out of the box."

"I've installed K&N Filters on everything I've every owned. The maintenance is super easy and you can't beat the price in the long run. I recently purchased a 2008 Toyota Yaris and only after ten thousand miles the service technician wanted to sell me a new disposable filter for 28 dollars, immediatley I did the research and purchased yet another K & N filter."

"My E 500 has plenty of power and gets reasonable gas mileage for a 5 litre v8 (23 t0 25 highway) but I expect to get close to 30 with K&N. I live in a smal town so I don't get too many highway miles regularly but when I travel I like to maximize my mpg."

"very difficult to install, not filter problem but way filter box and inlet ect is placed. have k&n filters on 4 other cars/truck and well liked. the 2005 lincoln is a v8 and is high performance with the v8. i have not noticed any inprovement in performance or gas mileage in town yet. will see how it works on next trip"

"Had heard of K & N for high performance motors. Decided to try on 97 BMW 540 and 2000 Mercedes S430. Both have 60K to 70 K Performance - speed of acceleration especially at low end RPMs is stronger. Have not tried high speed or RPMs as don't drive that way. BMW is quicker, but lighter car with nearly same motor size as heavier Mercedes. Best suprise is improved gas milage. Just under 3 miles/gallon on high way. With high gas prices - esp premium nice bonus. Will buy again, but sooner in cars life. lrk"

"I have used K&N Air Filters on three (3) different vehicles with 5.4 Liter engines for six (6) years. The effect on power and gas mileage is noticeable immediately after installation. My costs was recovered very quickly in miles per gallon gained with the K&N Air Filter."

K&N Filter As Advertised

"I purchased a K&N air filter for my 1992 Honda Civic VX to replace the standard disposable filter (the VX was Honda's fuel efficient version of the Civic). I did not want to throw away any more filters, which will just end up in landfills. In addition, information I had gleaned from various "fuel economy" websites indicated that K&N's claims of increased mpg and power were true. After installing the filter, I did notice that the engine ran better, with a noticeable increase in power (the VX is tuned for fuel economy, and only gets 92 hp). My first gas fill up after installing the filter produced nearly 50 mpg-the best fuel economy I have measured in the 12 years I have owned the car. The previous best was 47 mpg. In summary, I do believe it worthwhile to replace the old paper air filter with a K&N; they are expensive ($40.95 in my case), but with the price of gas so high, the return in better fuel economy and the elimination of disposable filters will make up for that in short order."

"This is the best filter in over all value. Increases the gas mileage,improves pick up and the need to buy multiple paper air filters. But lot of hard work involved when you need to clean the air filter,which is very much necassary after every 15k miles."
