"It only took me about 10 minutes to take out my old filters and install the K&N filters. They came already lubed up and were a snug fit. I can definitely tell a difference. I am thrilled about not throwing away another filter and I only have to clean the ones I have have now. I will be buying K&N filters for any future cars I own."

"I was skeptical (even having used K&N's before) but my Mariner hybrid is currently averaging 35.1 mpg on the first full tank after a air filter and oil change. That's 270 miles of mixed highway and city driving. I don't feel any more power, but the mpg improvement is significant. With the stock air filter I never got above 32mpg. Two thumbs enthusiastically up."

"Installed this filter,changed to E3 spark plugs what a difference.Better all around,more pick up,better mileage(23-24mpg).Can't say the filter alone did it but combined,there is an improvement.I'd do it again without thinking about it."

"THE K&N AIR FILTERS ARE THE ONLY FILTERS I USE. I DO GET BETTER MPG WITH THEM WHICH MAKES IT WORTH WHILE. JUST HATE CLEANING THEM THOUGH. BUT LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE - GOTTA TAKE THE BAD WITH THE GOOD."

"For the average driver, it is hard to tell any difference in performance or gas mileage. Not sure it is worth the extra cost. Maybe it is noticeable for race cars."

"The air chamber on the Smart Car is nearly impossible to get to and it will be so nice not to have to change a filter every 10,000 miles. I do think its still ridiculously overpriced at $50!"

"Put on a 2008 Honda Fit gas mileage went from 34 to 37. Tells me the Fit must really suffer from lack of air or a good mixture of fuel and air.Also if checking mileage on the Fit when putting fuel in I can almost add another 3 gallons before it is top off just takes a long time with lots of shut offs but I always top it off before stopping. Only way to tell your actual gas mileage."

K&N filter increases MPG

"I installed a K&N filter over a year ago in my 2000 Civic HX. I immediately noticed a 10% increase in mpg from low 40s to mid to high 40s and have exceeded 50mpg occasionally. Last winter my mileage began to drop off and I blamed that on the cold weather, but I cleaned the filter and my mpg went back up. I would say the free flow filter increases performance but since I am a gentle driver mpg is more important than winning drag races. This week I installed a K&N filter in our 2010 Honda Insight and although it is too soon to tell if there is a difference I expect the Insight to consistently achieve over 50mpg. Jerry"

"Honestly made a pretty big difference, I get 1-2 mpg better depending on how I drive, and I can feel a small but noticeable increase in power. There's no reason not to install a K&N for the price and performance"

"The '07 MX5 Miata is driven 40 miles a day, the car used to get 30mpg through a whole tank. When the filter was dirty I installed the K&N Filter. Now the car gets 33mpg through a whole tank! That will pay for it's self now! Brian"

"Sure, the filters are expensive, but they will pay for themselves within a year based on cost of disposable filters alone. The added bonus is that I get ~5% more miles per gallon with them. Also, they are super easy to install. The purchase is a no-brainer for anybody keeping their vehicle for another year."

"I use K&N Air Filters on all my vehicles. The latest purchase was for my 2009 Honda Fit Sport. Before I installed the air filter, I was getting 39 MPG combined city/hwy, now I'm getting 42.1 MPG combined city/hwy. On a tank of gas, that's an extra 33 miles!"

"I had a K&N in my '92 Integra and I was thoroughly satisfied with it. My '97 Accord was due for an air filter so I got another K&N. The change in sound was less than with the Integra, but that was an AEM Intake with a K&N filter. The Accord has an airbox filter. Too early to tell but I expect that I will again be very satisfied."

"This replaced the original filter which was surprisingly dirty after only 8k. I can tell the engine responds more quickly and fells like it has a little more torque. I'm also saving approx. 1.5miles/gallon hwy and approx. .8miles/gallon city. When you figure that it has a lifetime guarantee and you only clean it every 50k, it's really worth it. I just wish they came up with a cold air intake for it too - I have one on my Focus ST and it makes a big difference in power, torque and exhaust sound. I love K&N !"

"I haven't had my K&N air filter very long but already it seems I'm getting better gas mileage on my honda fit. Also it seems to have a little more horse power. The free shipping and handling was great, also."
