"Put on a 2008 Honda Fit gas mileage went from 34 to 37. Tells me the Fit must really suffer from lack of air or a good mixture of fuel and air.Also if checking mileage on the Fit when putting fuel in I can almost add another 3 gallons before it is top off just takes a long time with lots of shut offs but I always top it off before stopping. Only way to tell your actual gas mileage."

"The best upgrade you can purchase for the money. Never buy another air filter again and the quality of K&N will not let you down. My Civic has stopped gasping for air and runs with less RPM's. Going to get one for the wife's Toyota."

"I noticed the difference in my car when driving up an incline or mountain. Better acceleration and response puts me at ease when blending into traffic with four cylinder car. The OEM part did not provide the same reaction or power."

"The filter has made the car more responsive and it seems to run with less RPM's at the same speed of the original filter. I love the filters I have 2 on my 65 Porsche 911. Can't go wrong!"

"The K&N air filter seems to be a wonderful product. It takes air flow in much easier than the stock on my 2007 Civic SI. I haven't had much experience with different brands or products of aftermarket parts (other than stereo junk) but for the lifetime warranty and reputation of K&N, I'm happy. I shift much sooner with absolutely NO lag in the engine, and at lower RPM's. It's incredible. Put that baby at 6,000 rpm now, a canon explodes. Great job."

"I have had the K&N for several months now and have kept a constant check on gas mileage. I purchased the K&N hoping for better mileage. However, city mileage has dropped slightly (very slightly) and highway miles remain about the same. Also, there seems--although I can't be certain without accurate testing-- to be a drop in power in the lower RPMs where the car is 99% of the time.
On a positive note, the product is made very well, seems durable, and will, as far as I'm told, last many years.
If your looking for a good filter that will last, and to take the hassle out of changing one often, then go with K&N. Personally, I will likely go back to the paper after about 20,000 miles, and will continue monitoring the MPG. Perhaps the better air flow is good for some cars. Ones like the new civics that are very regulated...maybe, maybe not."

"I've been taking many steps to get the best gas milage.So I am keeping track of each step and the gains I get to see if it's working or not. The K&N filter was very easy to install and the best part is that I picked up another 3.4 miles to the gallon and it still seems to be getting better. I can't wait to see what I top out at.

"The K&N air filter didnt really give me any extra performane or sound from my engine but I did get an extra 2 mpg and the way the gas prices are today it will pay itself off in a short time!"
