"The K&N Air Filter exceeded my expectations. Since 2002 when I purchased my car I have installed five filters at the price of $12.00 each, meaning I have spend over 60 dollars. And this is not including the times that I have taken them out and blew them off with a blower. But that is not what surprised me. What surprised me is/was my mph. Driving a roundtrip distance of 500 miles last weekend, my car's mileage performance better than ever before. I was awestruck when my gas gauge after the car was off landed on E, within the amber zone, gradually moved higher after I cranked the vehicle up. But ther is another reason. The other reason stemms from the fact that while driving to and from my destination, I could feel the extra power as it inhaled more air, thus employing less energy for more horseower. Thus, my automobile performed far better than expected and saved me money on gas. In conclusion, the K&N air filter not only saved me money, but I am sure, it will prolong the life of my engine. No longer do I have to change this part of the car. At least not for a million miles. Wow. All parts should be this good. A win win situation for me. Thanks, Richard"

Didn't see more MPG or feel anymore HP

"Just got a '05 Benz C230 Kompressor. I figured put a K&N in right away to start paying for it with some improved MPG. I haven't see any on daily commutes of 28 miles combined hwy and semi-urban trip. i didn't feel anymore HP either. I'm taking it to Fla for the holidays and all articles read on the internet indicate it should get a min of 30MPG on the hwy @ 80MPH with a stock filter. We will see??? Maybe K&N's won't show any real gain on only 1.8liters thats already supercharged??? At least I'm never buying a new filter !!"

Merceds C240 K&N filters

"The Mercedes C240 engine has two air filters, and after installing the new K&N, the engine seems to run smoother and more aggressively. Installation took a little bit of figuring out, as you must remove the entire engive cover, where the filters are located, and then you need torx bits to undo, which I would suspect the average person would not have in their tool box. Total install time was about 15 minutes, which included cleaning the engine cover and vacuuming out the cold air intake tubes of debris. This is my forth purchase of K&N filters, and I beleive they really help the performance and MPG on the cars. Caroll in Maryland"

"I notice a 20% increase in MPG! I'm looking to break 30mpg this next fillup! Before I was getting around 25mpg which is not that bad considering......the car I traded in was an Evolution that got around 19mpg."

"After about 700 miles I can say that the K&N Air Filter didn't`t improve my gas millage and didn't`t gave more HP to my old C230. And was installed correctly, don`t worry about this, I`m a mechanical engineer. But I am not disappointed, I had to change it anyway. IMHO, the OEM Mann filter makes his job and you will not notice anything. Sorry guy!"
