Two totally different vehicles

"I purchased two AFE filters recently, based on reviews. One for my 09 Jetta Turbo Diesel, and the other for my 03 Tacoma 2.4L. The Tacoma had the most noticeable power increase. Seat of the pants eval, both vehicles seem to rev quicker and make more power. The Turbo Diesel has realized an immediate 2 mpg increase in mileage. I haven't driven the Tacoma enough to check it's mileage yet."

"The filter was easy to install and were looking foreward to the results to the milage increase. We have not chcked it yet I just hope it is as good as it clames to be. I realy like the idea of not having to worry about changing it ever again."

Unexpected Increase in Performance

"The morning after installing the AFE filter I was driving and suddenly realized something was different about the performance of my car. I drive a 2000 BMW Z-3. The filter I replaced was clean so there was no decrease in performance due to clogging of air intake. My Z is more responsive on acceleration and pick-up during shifting. I have not yet checked for mpg increase but even if none, I will be happy with the increase in performance."

"It looks great and installed easily but it makes a whistling noise at certain points that is very annoying. Its not the cool noise a turbo makes but more like an old man sucking air through a gap tooth. Not sure I can learn to live with the noise, might be going back to OEM filter shortly."

"I own a 2006 Ford explorer and have always used k&n filters in my cars, but k&n doesn't make a filter for my explorer so I found afe filter and I'am glad I did, it's much better than the k&n. I noticed an improvement right away. My car runs much better and my gas mileage has improved."

"I replaced K&N to AEF for my FX35, and I can feel more power and better torque. It is really worth to have it. AEF is also cleanable which is very nice."

"Its Ok It whistles a little bit I haven’t seen an increase in fuel mileage and I can’t feel any hp gain I do like the fact that I can wash it and I won’t have to buy another paper filter. I got the cleaning kit with it I wish the oil was an aerosol it is hard to oil the filter with a squeeze bottle."

"Filter was purchased for my 06 F150 (retirement truck), as has been many other products since I purchased the truck. Delivery took over 1 week, but don't know why, as my other purchases through A/A came w/in a week. Fit was as good as OEM filter was. Acceleration is just alittle crisper and I've only used 1 tank of gas, so can't comment on mileage change yet, especially since our fuels now have ethenol additive. Will need to establish new baseline. If it filters and lasts as long as advertised, it will be worth the expense. Any performance boost will be a plus."
