Description

The increased airflow of AFE Air Filters is the result of cotton gauze material that traps more filth—even particles 2 microns in size. And, AFE’s performance design provides the deepest pleats on the market for more surface area to trap dirt, helping your engine breathe much easier.

"The filter was easy to install and were looking foreward to the results to the milage increase. We have not chcked it yet I just hope it is as good as it clames to be. I realy like the idea of not having to worry about changing it ever again."

Unexpected Increase in Performance

"The morning after installing the AFE filter I was driving and suddenly realized something was different about the performance of my car. I drive a 2000 BMW Z-3. The filter I replaced was clean so there was no decrease in performance due to clogging of air intake. My Z is more responsive on acceleration and pick-up during shifting. I have not yet checked for mpg increase but even if none, I will be happy with the increase in performance."

"I see no difference between this and a K&N. But maybe that it is up to $5 more, oh and it is orange instead of black around the edges."

"It looks great and installed easily but it makes a whistling noise at certain points that is very annoying. Its not the cool noise a turbo makes but more like an old man sucking air through a gap tooth. Not sure I can learn to live with the noise, might be going back to OEM filter shortly."
