Description

Give your engine a breath of fresh air for increased flow and performance. aFe Air Filters boast vastly improved dirt trapping, airflow and durability versus stock and standard paper or foam air filters.

The increased airflow of aFe Air Filters is the result of cotton gauze material that traps more filth-even particles 2 microns in size. And, aFe's performance design provides the deepest pleats on the market for more surface area to trap dirt, helping your engine breathe much easier.

The cotton gauze material also withstands extreme temperatures and engine chemicals for virtually infinite life-just clean the filter every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. And, aFe Air Filters come oiled by the factory for extra trapping power and durability.

All aFe Filters come with precision-molded polyurethane construction for a tight seal with the factory air box and wire mesh to hold the gauze layers in place. Your aFe Air Filter boasts a Lifetime Warranty against defect.

This part was listed on the AFE site as compatible, but not on some other sites. This fits the filter frame, but the gasket is a bit thicker than OEM. My fuel economy improved over the OE paper filter, by about 1.5 mpg highway.

I must have mis-read the description on the web site as it thought that all you had to do was blow off the filter with air after 40,000 miles or so, but according to the enclosed instructions you have to re-oil it as well.

I purchased both wet and dry. The "wet" oiled filter eliminates the hesitation as I "hit the gas" coming out of a corner or turn. It appears that the Honda is more responsive with a slight mpg gain. However, the filter will be cleaned and re-oiled every 10,000-12,000 miles, which can be a pain as it takes about 24 hrs. to completely dry. On the other hand, I soaked the "dry" and agitated from clean to dirty in a sink of Dawn and warm water, then rinsed with filtered water. It dried in a few

The filter is working fine, It is a bit pricey. I see no difference in the performance as apposed to the K&N filter, they are both quality filters.

The filter arrived within the specified time frame. It was packaged securely, no damage. It was the correct product and fit in the airbox like OEM fitment. The filter itself doesn't add any noticeable power as some claim they do and that's ok as that's not the reason I purchased the filter. My reason for purchase was because of the value a reusable filter offers vs OEM replacement filters.

This filter has improved my towing performance nicely. I tow 12-15000 miles per year with 10-11000 pounds behind, so the change looks good at this point. The only issue with installation was not the fault of aFe. My truck is an '05 F-350 with a 6.0L diesel which is a pain to change. Throw in the fact that this filter was cheaper than OEM. Great deal.

I've used aFe Air Filters for years. They are a bit pricey up front, but last forever. They also facilitate easy cleaning if you run into a dust storm (as we do in AZ)and are in like new condition after cleaning. Additionally, I've noticed 1%-2% improved fuel economy. If you plan to keep your vehicle for a long while, aFe is the way to go!
