A great alternative to paper and oiled filters!

"I've been a fan of K&N oiled filters for years to give that little extra boost to throttle response and mpg's. However, I disliked having to clean and re-oil the media as it almost always ended up too wet after I applied the oil. This aFe filter has been a revelation! It fit perfectly in my QX4's air box and gave the confidence-inspiring off the line improvement I was looking for, while the maintenance will be far easier as it performs it's duties. Haven't done a comparison on the gas savings yet, but with the familiar performance to my previous high quality filters I expect a 1-2 mpg improvement on the highway. That's saying a lot when my Infinity only gets 19 or so now!"

"The quality of the AFE filter is exceptional! Since it's a dry filter unlike K&N it will not coat the MAF sensor with oil. It is also reuseable and easy to clean with just soap and water. I reset the ECU (disconnect battery for 15min.) after installation to let the computer readjust the air fuel ratio. I felt a slight power increase and a lot better throttle response compared to the stock paper air filter. Overall the AFE air filter is great and I would recommend it for any vehicle."

"you can tell its a high quality filter. granted my factory filter was a bit dirty, i've noticed a few improvements. the butt dyno is tellin me i dont have to push the gas down as much or as often as before, and i've noticed a little more than 1/2 mpg increase just in the last 2 tanks of gas that i've had this filter. great product, great price"

I Can BREATHE ! ! !

"Wow! I did not expect to notice an instant result like I did. Literally my truck (2010 Tacoma) was choking on the factory air filter. After replacing it with the AFE Pro-Dry S Air Filter I could tell an immediate difference in the way my truck ran; more responsive and no more choking! As for the mpg statement, well I am not sure? I really haven't been able to compare the pre-filter operation with a post-filter operation and mpg measurements. Also, they say that you won't get your true mpg until after 5000 miles. I put this air filter in when I had 1400 miles. For what it's worth I am averaging 18 mpg and I drive about half city and half highway miles to and from work. I think that this purchase was definitely worth it because it stopped choking the engine and it became more responsive, I won't have to buy another air filter, and MAYBE I will see an mpg boost of 1 mpg."

"Just purchased an AFE Pro-Dry Air Filter for my '09 Tacoma Pre-Runner 4 cyl and it dropped in perfectly. I immediately noticed an improvement in throttle performance. I'm not saying it's a huge difference but definately noticable. I'm curious to see if it improves my overall gas milage. Very good investment so far."

"So far so good. Definitely flows better than OEM. Doesn't flow as well as the K&N replacement filter but it does filter better and no oil on the MAF sensor. Overall better filter than the K&N it replaces."

Great Filters for cars with MAF fouling issues

"These are the perfect filters for European cars which use the temperamental Bosch MAF's. The AFE Pro-Dry filters fit perfectly and don't use oil so there's no chance of ruining your expensive MAF's. Also, I felt a noticeable increase in throttle response after installing these filters. I highly recommend these filters!"

"Super easy to install. Noticed the difference from the first time truck was driven. I had a minor lag on take off since truck was new,well problem solved. Noticable difference in overall engine performance, engine is able to breath much easier.Performance improvement makes it well worth the money,plus being able to clean and reuse filter is an added plus. I have not seen an improvement in fuel mileage but haven't lost mileage either.I would recommend this filter to others. Great Product!"

"The AFE Pro Dry air filter fit perfectly in place of the stock OEM air filter. The two filters appear totally different and the factory filter looks like it is more dense than the AFE but the AFE I can take out any time and wask it in mildly soapy warm water, dry throughly and replace in my truck all clean again. You can not do this with the OEM you have to spend big bucks on the OEM air filter. If I spend a weekend at the Deer Lease driving down dirty and dusty roads then when I get home I can wash my AFE out and presto it is like new again. I also gained about 2 miles per gallon fuel economy from my 6.4L diesel power stroke."

Louder Exshaust

"I don't know about any extra HP but it did make my exshast louder (Magnaflow Muffler).As far as mpg it deffinatley changed for the better at least a 1 mpg improvement. I wasn't really expecting a mpg improvement despite the claims I really bought the filter cause its reuseable. So I didn't pay attention to mpg before the filter, but I would fill up thur. and in a week i be at half a tank now if i fill up, in a week ill be betweent the half a tank line and the line right above it. (Regular commute, city driving)"

easy installation

"after receiving my order I was very pleased with the ease of installation. Simply replaced the old factory filter with the AFE with no modifications necessary. Truely a genuine fit. Am eagerly awaiting to see if there are any performance improvements (gas milage and/or horsepower)."

"I was hesitant to buy another air filter since, I already had a AFE. Being oil free was getting me out of trouble the the air sensor. Plus cleaning up is alot easier. I am alot happier with the results."

"I have a duramax, and i had to throw away my K&N because it kept tripping my Check engine light for too much air in the MAF sensor. I put in the AFE and no problems and much easier to install. very happy with this product"
