Spoke with very polite and helpful rep regarding a replacement for my stock filter. Have always used K&N filters, but not happy with the oily mess. The rep suggested the Pro-Dry. The shipping was quick and the filter fit perfectly. Very pleased so far.

This filter is a no-brainier. I put it in my Tundra and couldn't be happier. You can actually hear the difference. By it letting more air in, your engine has a deeper tone to it. It may seem pricey when you purchase it, but this filter will last the life of your truck. Just wash it and throw it back in. It's a win-win.

I used to have a k&n filter in my 09 Silverado and didn't really like the oil part of it like this one much better...

so far, so good! mostly highway and some dusty off road trails since the install. filter shows light dust and road grime on outside of element but inside still clean. got into the habit of checking my k&n oiled drop in filter before and after off road events and oil changes. the pro dry filter gives me better peace of mind as filtration goes. no more oiling and possible fouling of maf sensors. a better filter indeed.
