Well made and fits perfectly. Car pulls smoother through top end of RRM range. In first week, MPG went from 26.1, long term combined, to 26.4, only around town. Long term cost effective replacement to stock filter; it pays for itself. Oiled permanent filters can foul the mass-airflow sensor if over-oiled: the aFe Pro-Dry S solves this issue. Have ordered more for the other vehicles I maintain.

This is the second aFe Pro dry I purchased from Auto Anything, the other for a 07 Hemi Ram. It does make a definite difference in millage, approx. 1 to 2 mpg. Better sound and performance. Not having to oil the filter makes it easy to clean and keeps the throttle body free of excess oil. Very well made.

To order this filter I had to order a filter for a 2011 Ford Edge. The 2011 Edge and 2012 Explorer use the same size filter. At under $40.00 and cleanable the cost over all will be less than good paper filters. The over all MPG (which has not been reset) has increased .2 MPG.

I purchased this because of fearing of oil in my MAS. Installed in my 2003 grand am. At first it don't fit. I was fighting with it But then i realized all you have to do is lift the cover back all the way so the back part will come flush in the box. Overall its a good mpg. My mom drive the car so i don't really know if they earned mpg. Being reusable and washable and oil free is a plus. Wish i had it before.

I found 3 clips but on right rear is a different mechanism holding the filter box down?? How do I remove the top of the filter box?

Actually I played around with it and figured it out! I unclipped the 4 clips and lifted and pulled toward me. It slides out! Then I had to unscrew the clamp around the intake hose and separate it so I could get it open enough to change the filters!

These are designed to replace your stock air filter and fit inside of your factory air box.
