"Product took a little bit more than common sense to put it on my 2001 Toyota Tundra SR5. Nothing more than anybody can do. The product worked instantly. Sounds mean and i sopose a slight increase in gas mileage. That is, if you can keep your foot off the throttle to show off your AEM Brute Force Intake to everyone that you pass going down the street or give a ride. :)"

AEM Brute Force 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unl'd 3.8L

Posted on 07/16/2007 by Chris W. - 2007 Jeep Wrangler (Huntington Beach,CA)

"Easy to install (spec's 2 hours, took about 1). The sensor removal from the stock intake is impossible w/out cutting the hose. Great throaty roar on hard acceleration; power increase not really that noticeable; MPG no different yet (probably 'cause I'm standin' on the gas to hear that sound!). I'll pair it up later w/ a Borla cat-back and then we'll see what it can do."

"Bought this intake over a year ago and finally found time to get it out of the box and install it. The directions were good and gave detailed instructions on how to relocate my cruise control assembly. Performance gains are felt mainly in just above idle to mid throttle applications. Well made parts and filter give a nice appearance under the hood."

Too much Plastic!!

Posted on 07/11/2007 by Donald M. - 2007 Chevy Silverado (Coweta,OK)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I like the over all filter, but the filter should have been reinforced and the body should have been made more sturdy with metal/steel or something stronger. While installing the filter mesh was crumppled a little because of lack of support for the filter itself.I have installed several cold air filter systems and wanted to try a "dry" filter this time. I like the idea and will keep it as long as I own this truck. We`ll see how it comes off for cleaning in awhile."

2000 Super Duty

Posted on 06/16/2007 by Jake M. (Kent,WA)

"I could not have asked for more on an intake. The install only took half and hour and I purposefully left off the heat shield because I have a ram air hood and wanted an open element. The filter is amazingly large and looks great with all my other diesel components. I cannot comment on fuel mileage yet, but HP seems to be up a little, most notably at about 30mph. However, the most impressive aspect is the sound. The turbo whistle and intake gust have been bolstered a little, but the real difference comes with a huge "whoosh" when you let off the petal. It makes the mechanical beast of a diesel engine even more evil. I love having a dry element, and its gives me a little more confidence that it is hydrophobic since I have an open element. Highly Recommended."
