AEM Brute Force Intake has fitment problems

"Reviewed for a 2000 Nissan Frontier 3.3L V6. Intake system came in pieces and had to be assembled. Had difficulty with rubber bushings not wanting to fit onto aluminum areas once intake in place. That finally worked out fine. Filter is pointed downward and will be difficult to remove (have to unbolt heat shield to get to filter) for cleaning. Heat shield did not fit at all, too high, hood hits and will not close. Company sent the same one out as replacement, considering sending back and getting K&N."

Best Bang-for-your-Buck Intake

"This intake looks great, sounds great, and has very noticible power gains. The filter is HUGE, and has a great sound at 4000+ RPMs. Overall, the price is exceptional for what you're getting.
Compared to K&N FIPK Gen II intake, the AEM Brute Force is a far superior product."

"It sounds cool, but not sure if it really helps on the gas, although I dont see how it couldnt, the air filter is huge for a 04 Tahoe Z-71.
Its so big, its a tight fit under the hood and into the compartment, but it does go in with no clearance problems.
I think its a wise investment with the price of gas at 3 bucks a gallon...."

"I am very happy with the intake system. Took maybe about 45 minutes to install, the instructions were pretty clear on what to do. Couple of the pictures could have been a little more clear, but most of it is self explanitory anyway.
Ive noticed a mild increase to power, I havent noticed any gas mileage increase, but it may just be the way I drive. I have noticed more of a roar from my engine around 2500 - 3000 rpm's. Nice throaty sound coming from the engine. Not overwhelming but says I got something under the hood."

"I purchased system for my truck to increase horsepower and for better fuel mileage. I haven't driven enough to know about fuel mileage, yet. I can definetly hear the difference when I get into the throttle. Was pretty easy to install. Took about 40 minutes to complete installation."

"before intake system, I average about 14.9 mpg on city driving and about 15.3 on highwya driving. After installing the intake system( very easy to install) I average about 15.5 on city and 16.5 on highway. It's not that much but whatever it takes to get better mpg."

"Installation was about an hour or so with regular hand tools. Only performed seat of my pants analysis and, (1) Engine seems to have more pep, eliminated minor take off hesitation/lag, (2) Mileage seemed to have increased some, (3) NO noticeable increase in engine sound/noise like some have written, and (4) No oil filter is a plus. AUTOANYTHING price & fast shipment cannot be beat on this item. Thanks!"

"The AEM Brute Force Air Intake System was for the most part a good buy. It added a nice sound to my TJ and a little much needed power in third and fourth gears. But the only negative thing I can say about this product is that it did not add any "passing power" to my jeep in fifth gear on the highway."

"This was an easy do-it-yourself addition to add both power and economy to my Dodge Ram Hemi. I am now getting 12.6 mpg and added at least an additional 15 hp (not confirmed yet). You can really tell the additional power when you accelerate. The price and free shipping on autoanything.com made this possible for me. Thanks!"
