"Improvement in horsepower (seat-of-pants) and fuel economy (as long as you keep your foot out of it) over stock with K&N filter. What sold me was the dry vs. oiled filter. However, the breather tube that came with the kit was too short. Emailed AEM and no response. Purchased a plastic coupling to connect old and new hose. Overall a great product that produces what it said it would. Oh yeah, it gives this already great sounding stock exhaust a little throatier sound."

"Installation was pretty easy, only took about an hour. Looks good in the engine compartment. and gives the truck a less factory look. I have noticed a better take off and response while driving on the road, unable to tell if any MPG has increased yet. Good sound on take off and when you need the extra power on the road. Good value for the product."

"Very clean install and noticable performance improvement. Kit not availible for a 2009 Suburban so I had to customize the 2008 model. There is a difference on how the mass air flow densor is mounted and I had to cut it off the old box."

"I expected some performance improvements, but this is major. The Durango stock air filter significantly blocks air supply to the engine. With AEM Brute Force whatever air the engine demands it gets. Under acceleration the engine rpms rise much quicker than before and you can hear the intake sucking large amounts of air. It sounds great. Acceleration is incredible, and my wheels have spun out several times if I accelerate too hard. This has to be the best performance upgrade for the money. I don't know if my gas mileage is any better, because I'm having too much fun tearing out all over the place."

"I purchased this intake for a increase in gas mileage. So far 3 tanks of gas and the increase was 1.4 mpg. My other objective was the deep growl combined with a aftermarket exhuast. The install was a 3 on a 1-10 scale. The only problem I had was the rubber pc with the brass studs snapped but AEM sent me a replacement within a week. So don't over tighten. I would suggest purchasing this product for the above reasons."

"Love the intake system, sounds great when you step on it. it was just hard to install it would have been easier if you jack up the truck and remove the left front wheel it does make life easier to install. have picked up about 1 mpg so far i could possibly get more if i could keep my right foot out of it."

"This is my first AEM product. It is first class in appearance and cleans up the engine compartment quite nicely. Easy to install with very goog instructions included. I thought it was a little pricey as it is at or near the top of the price range for a CAI for my truck. I love the fact that the filter is a "dry" application. That's the biggest reason I opted for this CAI over the K & N. I've has several K&N products and hate to recharge the filters. Good performance gains and @ 1.5 MPG increase. I recommend this product for a Ford F150."

"I've had the cold air intake on for a little over a month. Instulation was a breeze the directions didn't miss a thing. The first thing I noticed was that my truck sounded a little quieter i also have a cat back exaust. When driving it definantly feels like it has more power. But the main reason i got it was for the fuel milage. At 65 the milage average i see is between 17mpg and 19mpg. At 70 to 75 I average 15.5mpg to 16.8mpg. So I have seen about a 2mpg jump over stock. Overall I am verry pleased with the intake, for power and millage increases."

"The installation was easy until I had to remove the sensor from the factory intake. The instructions didn't say anything about removing the factory sensor. I went on some Dodge forums to find out. Using baby oil and a flathead screwdriver to pry it out, worked for me. Performance wise, I am getting more gas milage and more power. I installed a new exhaust a couple of days before the Brute Force. The power and mpg from the combination is very noticable. The first week I had it, I was flooring it everywhere I went and still burnt the same amount of gas before the install. I am very happy with this mod and would highly recommend it. The "suck" sound is only heard at higher rpm, but the power is felt throughout."

"I own a 2002 chevy silverado 1500 z71 and got the brute force intake in silver powdercoat. For starters it looks great, very impressive. the installation was very simple and only took about 30 to 45 minutes and the directions were very easy to follow and had pictures. i did not have a single problem with any of the AEM parts, the only trouble i had was with the air flow sensor, it was stuck in the stock air box. The power gain is impressive, the motor feels like it has a new life in it. i also hear a pleasing difference in the exhaust note, i have a single flowmaster original 40 series with dual outlets. it is not as much louder as it is tone, it is louder but it has a much better sounding and deeper tone, especially when you really get on it. overall the AEM is way more than i expected out of an intake, it really wakes up the 5.3in my opinion. last but not least, he selling point for me was the dry flow filter, you dont have to oil it and it is washable."

"I love AEM intakes. I've had them on every car/truck that I've ever owned. With that bias aside, I found the install on my 06 titan a little rough. The parts took a lot more bending/forcing into place than any kit on my other cars. The throttle response has increased slightly. Gas milage appears to be about the same, maybe 1-2 mpg increase. The intake isn't loud until I reach the 4000-6000 rpm range, and then It is very loud! Overall, I would recommend this intake to anyone that wants a little more performance for a low cost."

"I Love the Instant Power and Rich, Almost Diesel like Tone the AEM Brute Force Intake gives you. It was Surprisingly Easy to Install; to tell the Truth I Didnt Know If I Would Be Able To Do It Or Not But Im Glad I Did, the Only Hard Part Was I Installed It Outside On Dec. 3rd, I Matched This Intake With A Banks Monster Exhaust and It Is Really Like Driving a Whole New Truck.
