Not the best, yet not too bad

1 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"Install was very easy. Only took about 30 mins. Parts are well made for exception of the filter. It seems to be a little cheap compared to the K&N. Noticed an increase in power but not in mileage. Actually a lil decrease in gas mileage but oh well."

"Install took me about an hour, took my time as not to make a mistake. Instructions could be a tad clearer, but not bad. Item looks great in engine compartment, and fit was good, if not a bit snug. The first thing I noticed was sound, just right!. The engine seems to idle smoother, and is quieter at idle.Have'nt checked gas mileage yet.I'm completely satisfied with everything, from product to purchase, I'll be back!"

"2007 JK owners, I am disapointed with the power of the factory Sahara. Now with a Gibson exhaust and the AEM intake, and soon a unichip, it should run better. I do think that there is a power increase, I don't know how much. I like it though."

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I was apprehensive about installing this myself because I have zero mechanical ability. However it was simple, very easy to do. The pick up off the line is fantastic, and I love the extra roar it gives off. I already had the exhaust changed to K&N dualies, so it is very throaty now. Highly recommend this add on to anyone."

New power and grrrrr-eat sound!

Posted on 10/18/2007 by David B. - 2008 Jeep Wrangler (Westchester,IL)

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.

"AEM made it a breeze to install withg detailed pics all printed out for you. Too all of about 35 mins to install it perfectly with no issues along the way. The CAI gives a bit more power through midrange throttle, and the sound is great. There is now a bit of a whistle with all the sucking it is doing. The only thing I was concerned with was the description for the product mentioned that a Throttle-Body spacer was included "with some models". This was the deciding factor that I went with AEM for my 2008 JK (wrangler), only to find out this piece is only included for a MUCH older model Wrangler."

"I was scared to pay this mouch for something that I was not sure would make much different. I loved the fact that it was a Dry-Flow. Very happy with my purchase. The instructions were a little lacking because it used mostly actual picture. I think diagrams would have been better but still installing was only 2 hours."

Awesome

Posted on 09/19/2007 by Larry T. - 2006 Dodge Ram (Durango,CO)

"It took me about 1.5 hours to install the intake on my 06' Dodge Ram Hemi. It was a fairly simple install, just follow the directions. I had to adjust the mounting bracket maybe 1/4" to make it a perfect fit (big deal, have you ever done anything that was perfect). I had already had an aftermarket exhaust and hypertech programmer installed previously. The difference the intake made is very noticeable and it makes the exhaust note much deeper. This made a huge differece in the performance of my vechicle and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting more performance from there vehicle certainly if you add the exhaust and programmer. Well worth the money in my opinion."

Brute Force Intake for 2004 Frontier 3.3L

Posted on 09/07/2007 by William H. - 2004 Nissan Frontier (Quantico,VA)

"Put my Brute Force Intake on my Frontier a week ago. Except for some final alignment tweaks, installation was a breeze. Immediate impact on throttle response, smoothness of ride, and engine tone. Added a Magnaflow exhaust the next day, and all I can say is...WOW! Never realized how good a small V6 could sound or perform."

AEM Brute Force review

Posted on 09/05/2007 by Douglas W. (Cullman,AL)

"I have only had mine installed three days, but I will say at this point, Ireally like it. The look it gives under the hood is SUPER. Rather easy to install. when you "stand on the throttle" it sure does talk to you. The Brute Force plus the FlowMasters on my GMC really make for a great sound. As for gas mileage/HP increase, haven't had it on long enough to tell. I'm very satisfied. Doug"
