"I recently purchased an AFE cold air intake. It
was everything I was looking for. It is so rare to
buy anything today that is carefully fabricated out
of metal. This box looks like it will hold up for a
long time, it was easy to install, works great!"

"Overall it looks good and sounds pretty cool. I was not aware that I would hear the vaccuum after I installed it. There was only one problem, and that was that the box slightly dented the brace in the hood. About a dime size and it did not go through the hood itself, but I will have to rust proof the ding. There is increased gas mileage on the freeway, no doubt about that."

"I purghased this air intake for my 2008 Dodge Charger 3.5L. There has been nothing but A plus all the way through.
I tell you,
This one single mod will do a whole for engine. I can actually feel less restriction from my engine when I step on the gas. I feel more torque in the lower rpm's and not to mention, the engine has a deeper growl when accelerating. This mod has been an all around plus for the 3.5. It is well worth it."

"This intake was labeled 1997-2005 Wrangler TJ, but I purchased it anyway figuring on a misprint. Nope. Not a misprint. The air dam needed a slight modification to widen the opening for the AC line, and I gently bent the footing to align it with the factory mounts. Those mods took maybe ten minutes, then everything fit perfectly. The additional performance increase was immediate! I drove up the winding highway to Cripple Creek shortly afterward (over 10,000ft before dropping into the town), and the engine performed amazingly, in 5th and 6th gears nearly all the time, and never lower than 4th for the climb. My gas mileage has improved by 2-3mpg as well. Awesome!"

"Was pretty easy to install, but had to take the battery out so I could remove the old air intake tube that goes to the air filter box. The blue filter would not fit without removing it. But overall was real easy, even for a novice."

"I own a BMW 2004 330ci,(E46)...The stage 1, easy to install, my son and I installed it in less than 20 minutes, the performance is definitely noticable. You get that deep roar when, punching it to pass or just speeding up. Noticed a slight rise in gas milage sense the install. Love the sound it makes when the ignition is turned off..(the release of vacuum). The price was very reasonable.."

"I will admit having had K&N before that asthetically atleast the K&N looks nicer, but the AFE Kit has the same or dare I say even better performance. Of course I must disclose had K&N in a diesel F-250 and a Dodge Ram 1500 (gas). Now the AFE Kit is in a Ford F-150. Take it for what it's worth, I like the product, good performance."

"It's pretty good. I have an Audi A4. I'm still having problems with the piece that connects to the turbo housing I can't get it to stay on it pops off, the clamp sits to far forward so when you tighten it it slides off. Other than that when it's connected it sounds good and it helped with gas mileage and horsepower."

"While installing the intake I had to make a few small changes. I know that not everything fits the way it should do to variables, But the one thing that i did not expect was the sound from the intake. It literly sounds as if there is a blowen v8 under my hood between the 2500-5500 rpm range.

"The instructions weren't as bad as people on the forums claimed. I found it very easy to install. I did have an issue with the cover and AFE sent me a new one within 4 days.
You can definitely "hear" a difference under normal and hard accelleration. The only thing I had a personal issue with is the opening on the front of the box "inside" the engine compartment. I argued on the phone with AFE that the opening allows hot air to suck from the engine bay and defeats the purpose of it being a CAI. The box has two openings, one for the fender well and one inside the engine compartment.
I rate it a 8/10 because of the opening on the front in the engine compartment."

"Easy installation, fits perfect. Feel a bit more power, too soon to see effects on MPG. Dry filter does not yet have CA. smog clearance, but AFE says it will come by August and they will sent the sticker. The oiled filters have their clearance already.
I ordered Just the dry filter for my 92 Dodge diesel and will build my own piping and enclosure.
The oiled filters have a better air flow, but the dry ones have double that of the stock set-up and require very little maintenance.
the Jeep always had plenty of power, my main reason for going with this was to improve MPG. My Saturn (that was converted years ago) gets about 3 mpg more than stock, and has much better response.
