"I installed my intake with moderate ease; I do not have a lot of mechanic experience. I would advise AFE to be a little more detailed with the instructions. After everything was installed I noticed the whistle sound, which from what I've heard is normal for cold air intakes. I've noticed a better response from my truck but I haven't had it long enough to notice ang gains in MPG. Overall, it was a very good experience."

"Overall, there is an improvement in engine response. better throttle response, some more power, and yeah, a little bit better sound. horsepower wise, i would say i maybe gained 5 or so, but it doesn't feel like that much. the biggest improvement for me, is overall throttle response, whether going wot or just cruising. some sound improvement, but overall about the same as stock. pretty easy installation and very good and detailed instrunctions. overall good product for the price."

Delivers on its promise

"I've been running this on my truck for several weeks, which happens to be over 1,000 miles. I installed it in less than 15 minutes. Gas mileage improved about 2 mpg, and engine pickup is much better. It's quiet under normal use, but roars and makes the truck jump like a scalded cat when you stomp it."

"I have a 96 BMW 328Is, the product was easy to install and looks great under the hood. Most of the gains and deep sound comes from the higher RPM's. So far the product has been good."

"Once my car goes a little over 45mph, you can hear all that air being sucked into your engine. Both sounds and performs superbly. Definitely get one if you desire a little more of those hp and torque gain."

"installed it, on a 04 Tacoma 4x4 2.7I looks great, high quality, filter did not come oiled and needed to buy some K&N oil for it. they say u use there oil but i need my truck so i used the K&N there was a S bend near the throttle body, didn't see restrictive at all but didn't know why they didn't go with a straight pipe. horse power and torque were minor is barely noticeable. sounds much louder which i liked and u can hear it suck but not much power, which could be from the CPU needing to adjust seems to be getting getter the more i drive but power still barley noticable"

"This is the best intake product I have ever used. I have added intakes to all of my vehicles over the years, and without out a doubt this has been the best yet. On my 2004 it added a great gain in acceleration and power and it sounds awesome! I would recommend this system over any other, hands doen the best available!"

"Purchased AFE 2 stage to improve hp and mpg. Install went well until throat and air box came together first two screws (top&side)went well, bottom not good. No room for my hands and I have medium sized hands. Lost screw in engine bay. I'll be contacting AFE for more screws. Looks good, turbo sounds good."

"I purchased the stage 2 AFE air intake for my '05 Magnum R/T. Installation could not have been easier. The xtra horsepower is very noticable from 3500 rpm up. The sound is really fun, but make sure you and your passengers appreciate the growl, cause it does when you stan on it. Cruising noise is unchanged from stock. This is a winner."

"Definitely worth the $... Got it set up in just under one hour, with minimal knuckle knockage and frustration... Added a couple of miles per gallon if I stay off the gas, and a decent amount of power with a growl when I don't... Sounds good with a Flowmaster into duals..."

"Install was super simple. Wish there was a cold air box that be designed and shipped with the unit. That is the only down side. Noise level increased a bit. However, gas mileage increased by about 10% and so did the power."

Great Air Filter

"Bought the AFE filter or my Dodge RAM 2500. Filter was a pain to install due to the housing tray. Also had issues with bolts not fitting in pre-drilled holes that came with the item. I called AFE and they shipped me out new parts with no issues. That was very nice and easy. After that, filter went in with no issues. It almost did not fit in the truck. Its a tight squeeze. It does sound great and I can tell a differance in performance."

"I just installed the AFE CAI into my 2007 BMW E60 530i Sport. One word...AMAZING! The car pulls and breathes better. It also has a fantastic sound. The most noticeable feature between this intake and the stock airbox is that you don't feel any restriction anymore. It's almost as though you can feel the air being sucked into the intake and through the throttle body. It's a shame cars don't come this way from the factory, because this is how every car should feel and sound! I highly recommend this product, especially to my fellow BMW enthusiasts."
