"AFE Makes a good intake system. It was easy to instal, I had my wife do it. It definitley gives a meaner growl especially in second gear, and the extra horses are noticable. On top of all that It looks pretty sweet to. Definitley a must have bolt on."

Stage 2 AFE on a 01 silverado

"I am very happy with this intake. Easy install about 45 minutes (had taco bell in the middle -15 min) SUPRISED at the increase in power. I had been peaking HP at around 302, first run out with this on and peaked at 335 HP. A gain of +33 HP. Don't know if that is typical but worked for me."

"So easy to put on and installs in about a half an hour.The best investment i have ever made. Its worth the money and i have seen and heard the difference. The turbo sound clarity is much better and if my engine could talk, it would be thanking me."

Ranger Breathes Easier

"Have been trying forever to locate cold air intake for '00 Ranger with 4.0 X-code engine. Finally found Stage 1 kit. Install was easy. Suggest including 2 replacement bolts/nuts for the breather tube support/mounting bracket. Existing holes in radiator support lined up fine, but existing self-tapper almost too short and about to strip. Engine seems peppier, but X-codes are hard to coax HP out of. Not one of Ford's better engines. Very good product for the money, though."

AFE Stage 2 on my 01 powerstroke

"I have had the Afe stage 2 cold air intake system on my truck for about a few weeks now and I love it. it was easy to instal, and way worth the money. I have had other air intake systems,but none have had as much noticable power as the one does."

"The intake is well built and very easy to install. I'm not a mechanic by any means but with the detailed instructions I was able to complete the installation in about 30 minutes. The best thing about the intake was a quote from my son. He called about 5 minutes into the test drive and said, "The horsepower is crazy.""

My two week evaluation

"Ordered on a Monday received on Thursday, that's quick. Install was straightforward and easy except for MAF sensor opening, which I didn't need and had to make a cover for it myself. Noticable performance increase especially off the line. Louder diesel sounds now. Efficiency seems to be both better and worse: Driving carefully around town, not stomping accelerator, slowing way before the stoplight for timing and etc. increased about 1mpg to 18, up from 17mpg. Previous worst was about 12mpg with AFE 10-11mpg when zipping around, not driving nice."

Sharp - Better than K&N Intake

"I have the V6 4.0L engine. Got my shipment in 2 days. Fit perfectly. Aluminum tube and polished closed top housing is a plus and looks sharp. Also have a Gibson performance exhaust. It makes the exhaust sound deeper and much better. Did not notice a increase in noise under the hood unless you accelerate hard and it does help. Had a K&N system for my Tundra with install problems and a plastic tube and a open top housing. I will by AFE again."

My Favorite Intake!!

"This cold air intake is Great! I installed the whole stage 2 kit in about a half hour. The power is very noticable on the top end and really compliments my other engine upgrades. I would highly recomend this unit for anyone looking to gain REAL POWER!! Thanks AFE."

"The only thing I can say negitive about this system is the need for better installation instructions, but other than that ist is a great improvement in performance. Haven't had it long enough to see what improvements might have been gained in milage but hoping for some."

"i have an 05' Magnum R/T AWD i love the end results of the sound and performance from this massive intake i dare you to find one bigger....... the only thing that pissed me off was in the instructions i was told to put the new mass air sensor gromet in the intake tube then install the sensor well i pushed the sensor into gromet and the gromet into the tube and it rolled down the tube and is listed as M.I.A...."no it didn't go into the engine" but went to the parts store got a new gromet back in action the end results the performance is there no doubt but also i love that it sounds like i have an aftermarket exhaust but all the sound comes from under the hood....hell i haven't even gotten to the exhaust...yet"

AFE system for F350

"I put this system on my 2005 F350 right before a 1,000 mile trip. It was not very difficult to install, and everything seemed well made. I have already installed a Banks Six Gun with Speed Loader and a Banks exhaust, so my truck ran really well already. I think this has helped it even further. I am mostly interested in keeping my EGT under control but since Banks new PDA gauge isn't yet available, I don't know if I have achieved this."

"When I installed this intake system, I noticed considerably more pep and power with my truck, and I have gained almost a mile per gallon more even when towing. And this is just on the first tank of fuel. I am a believer in cold air systems now."
