"I bought the stage 2 si cai and it is great. It has imroved my gas mileage by about 1 mpg. I havn't done a dyno yet to see the powwer gains from before and after, but I'm sure that there are some to be found. The box that surrounds the air filter with the stage 2 si, does a pretty good job of blocking dust and water when off roading too. This intake is pretty loud too, which is always a good thing as well. It screams at 3500 RPM. Overall this is a great intake system. The only downside is the poor instructions, which contain photos in black/white and can be a bit vague at times."

"The installation was very easy with this intake. Easier than I had read about. Took maybe 30 minutes. I had instant increased power. I recently had the exhaust done so the power difference was amazing. I'm very happy with this intake."

"The afe cold air intake system is well worth the money. The kit is way better than the k&n. The kit seals to the hood very tight and it also seals around the intake tube which the k&n didn't. The jeep sounds awesome at WOT and it pulls harder now. No difference in gas mileage maybe a little lower around town but that is expected with the jeep sucking in so much more air now, it dumps more fuel. Got to pay to play!"

"I TIP MY HAT TO THE GUYS AT MAGNA FLOW, AFE COLD AIR INTAKES AND AUTO ANYTHING, THE AFE COLD AIR INTAKE REALLY UNLEASED THE POWER AND SOUND OF THE ENGINE, THESE SIMPLE BOLT ON PERFORMANCE PARTS MADE THE CAR EVEN MORE FUN TO DRIVE, QUICKER RPM'S AND SEAT OF THE PANTS PUNCHING POWER, AND I ALSO NOTICED AN INCREASE IN THE FUEL ECONOMY.
THANKS TO AUTO ANYTHING FOR PROVIDING THE RIGHT PARTS, AT THE RIGHT PRICE, AT THE RIGHT TIME"

"Sound is aggressive. Installation instructions suck. Price is not as competitive as Volant and K&N. Have not yet noticed an increase in MPG but it hasn't really dropped either. Sound at WOT is very intimidating! Looks cool in the engine bay. For some reason, the aluminum cover doesn't quite line up with the mounting holes unless you flip the cover upside down. Quality takes a hit on this.
Hope this helps."

"I was originally going to go with the K&N, but then I heard from a few tundra owners that the K&N oil really mucks up the MAF sensor, requiring you to have to clean it constantly. Also, I've heard the K&N is much more difficult to install due to self tapping screws for the MAF and other problems. I decided to go with the AFE mainly for the dry air filter. So far so good, and I do see a slight difference in gas mileage. (about a 1 mile per gallon difference) Nice sound too.
The only problem I had was getting the back bolt down on the open intake box, and the tube near the manifold is a bit big so I can't get the plastic toyota decoration cover over it perfectly, but it still holds on the anchors."

"Basically i was a little disapointed by the cost of 311.00 once i seen what it was actualy made of. performace wise its right on.
All it is is a formed plastic funnle with a couple holes and filer at one end and a rubber boot to fit throddle body on the other end.
my opinion is why it cost 311.00 when it cant cost more that 30.00 $ to produce by manufacture. the parts @ a hardware store are aprox 100.00 if you were to make a simular likeness in the garage .
just another sign of times and how the Consumer get riped on our end for what we want.
bottom line i like the way it preformes........ but could of been less painfull in the pocket by about half the cost at least.
why the GREED ?"

"I put this on my 2003 Cummins and straightpiped it at the same time. It is pretty noisey under load but I love it...waiting for my wife to complain about it in the cab! The intake tube with a cone type air filter really lets the turbo sing. Quite a bit of turbo whine is audible when even at 2-3psi of boost. Basicly it turns your Cummins into a JET!"

"This intake fit my 08 F150 with 4.6 V8 with no problems. Better acceleration. Can definitely feel an improvement in performance. So far, can tell no difference in feul mileage. Need to keep my foot out it. Of all the intakes I looked at before I decided to purchase the AFE, this was the lowest price of all and on the plus side, it's made in the USA. I got the one with the dry filter, no oiling necessary. Less maintenance, which is a plus. I am very happy with my puchase and with AutoAnything."

"I am very impressed with the increased performance after the installation of this cold air intake. The sound is exhilirating and the acceleration is out of this world. Just punch the gas and it sounds like a jet engine unleasing its fury and it will buckle you to the seat with the incresed torque noticed from the new AFE intake. The installation was a piece of cake. I'm no gearhead and I was able to have it properly installed within 35 minutes. The value was exceptional, it was an easy $50 less than it's competitors. I am very happy with this aftermarket purchase for my truck."

"With a gas Suburban towing a 6000# TT, I was looking for more towing ability. This cold air intake provides it. I am impressed with the additional power. Installation was not as easy as they stated. I have pretty good mechanical skills and was able to install it. Had to move a horn and some wiring harnesses near the headlights. Other than that I am very happy with the decision."

"There are certain "mods" that should be done to a car, heck, even straight from the factory. Mopar obviously agrees because they sell their own CAI for the Charger, if you order it, or got an SRT8. But even better than the Mopar design is the aFe CAI. Awesome design, as efficient as can be, installed in 10 minutes, and best of all, it's one of the cheapest mods you can do. My only advice is that the heat shield should have a small bit of padding where it comes in contact with the frame, but that can be done easily once you get it. All in all, it's perhaps my favorite mod that I've done."
