"After researching all the different CAI systems out there, I found that AFE to be the best value. The advisers here at AutoAnything were knowledgeable and helped with my purchase decision. The installation instructions provide came with vehicle specific photos which was helpful. However, on my vehicle, the instructions had me remove one bolt and then the stock air box would come right out. This was not the case and unmentioned bolt was extremely difficult and required me to purchase new specific tools. Outside of that, the installation was quick and simple. I cannot truly review the sound and performance aspect because I had my exhaust system upgraded the same day. But, it sure looks nice!!"

"took me about an hour to installed it, but you can do it ... it's quiet, i got more mileage per gallon, about 10% more and just a little bit more horse power ,good price & delivered on time,i recommend it buy it."

"Installed Afe cold air intake as soon it arrived.Couldn't wait to try it out.Installed in about a half hour.Wasn't feeling a difference till i got on the highway Hit the gas thats when i noticed the difference.Really enjoy product will tell freinds about it.Not sure about MPG yet but still happy with product.Excellent price and great service.Will tell freinds.Will be ordering new lights for my Jeep soon.thanks again Auto Anything.Bob"

"I coupled this with a throttle body spacer, so it is difficult to discern the performance directly related to this intake. Together though they make a unbelievable difference in power, speed, and pep. This is something I should have done a while ago, I love driving my Jeep again. Given that I like the extra peppy-ness of the Jeep, I'm trying to be careful on gas usage just to see what kind of extra mileage I could get. At this point, I couldn't say there's been any extra mpg. I drove pretty tame before and got about 17mpg city and highway. I was hoping for 2-3mpg more, but nothing close to that. I'll probably install Platinum plugs, and after that, nothing more. This is a very sturdy unit, and installs very easily in 30-45mins. Add the Throttle body spacer and its another 15 mins more. I'm not sure if there's a reason to buy a different brand it's up to what they have on sale. The box stated 20% more power, I read elsewhere 50 more horsepower. Either way you WILL notice the power."

2007 Tundra

"After looking at the reviews I purchased the afe cai. I found that the noise was lower that what the reviews said. After checking the air box I found that the lid was loose I put some weather striping around the top of the lid and this help stop some of the noise. I did not see any inprovement in gas milage but the preformance was better"

"2001 Silverado 6 liter engine. Woke it up good and now get better fuel mileage that ever! I have to note that I also installed a gibson dual exhaust system which seems to work great with the intake."

"Cold Air Intake on arrival in the box was well packaged. Contents were all of good quality and looked like excellent craftsmanship. Clamps were a little ordinary looking and I thought, took away from the finish once installed. Components fit very well, and the only thing that took a little time to adjust properly to avoid any damage, was the recpectacle for the air flow sensor. A little more refining would allow the sensor to fit like factory. Suggest looking at an original airbox and modifying the receptacle exactly like the factory fit. All hoses fit and lined up well. So far, I have not noticed any major differences on acceleration, there is some mind you, but not as much as some might expect. I anyhow, just did a long drive of four hours, and the gas mileage was greatly improved. Truck seems to run a tad cooler. Truck is a Toyota Tundra. I think, well worth the investment in the long run."

"Ease of installation was good. Had to make a trip to Schucks to get two radiator clamps to put together because one clamp wouldn't make the connection to the air tube coming from the MAF sensor, needed to be about a 120mm-127mm clamp. The installation was < 2 hours less the trip to Schucks. I would highly recommend this product. Will wait a couple months to see the mileage improvement."

"I own a 2003 Ford Ranger 2.3L. When I first got it I noticed that when under hard acceleration it would dog down and had issues passing. With the new air kit I notice a large increase in power and that it got rid of the "dead foot" issue that the truck had."

"Bottom line. The kit looks great, and as per the trip computer in my 6.0 diesel Ford Excurion it is giving me about 1.2 mpg boost (includes a combination of city and hwy driving)over the stock air box. However, if the design team had been present during the 3 hour install I would have been sorely tempted not to choke them out. The thing that gets you is the directions look complete (they even include pictures) but they leave critical illustrations out (like how the airbox connects to the plastic tube containing the air sensor). Critical written instructions were missing as well. Be sure to check that the threaded sections do not have residual plastic stuck in them. The filter certainly makes the truck louder. Also noted a rattling noise after I get into it. The rattle goes away after 3 "knocks.""

"the only thing that wasn't in the instructions was that you have to take out the wind shield washer fluid tank to get at one of the bottom bolts that holds the factory air box in. other than that it was a piece of cake installing it. there is no hesitation when you step on the gas."

"The intake seems to do everything that its supposed to do. i can feel the extra horsepower . My gas mileage is pretty much the same.I like the deep sound and think this is a great product. The istallation was a breeze.It took about an hour and I have very little experience."

"Installation was a piece of cake! The sound increase at first was a little dissapointing but the filter broke in and my 1996 Crown Vic sounds awesome. Also when driving conservativly I had an increase from 23 mpg and less, to 24.57 mpg mixed driving which is great!"
