"Ease of installation was good. Had to make a trip to Schucks to get two radiator clamps to put together because one clamp wouldn't make the connection to the air tube coming from the MAF sensor, needed to be about a 120mm-127mm clamp. The installation was < 2 hours less the trip to Schucks. I would highly recommend this product. Will wait a couple months to see the mileage improvement."

"I own a 2003 Ford Ranger 2.3L. When I first got it I noticed that when under hard acceleration it would dog down and had issues passing. With the new air kit I notice a large increase in power and that it got rid of the "dead foot" issue that the truck had."

"Bottom line. The kit looks great, and as per the trip computer in my 6.0 diesel Ford Excurion it is giving me about 1.2 mpg boost (includes a combination of city and hwy driving)over the stock air box. However, if the design team had been present during the 3 hour install I would have been sorely tempted not to choke them out. The thing that gets you is the directions look complete (they even include pictures) but they leave critical illustrations out (like how the airbox connects to the plastic tube containing the air sensor). Critical written instructions were missing as well. Be sure to check that the threaded sections do not have residual plastic stuck in them. The filter certainly makes the truck louder. Also noted a rattling noise after I get into it. The rattle goes away after 3 "knocks.""

"Very pleased with this product, it seems to have increased HP and torque, gives a throaty performance engine sound and has increased gas mileage by 2-3 MPG when I keep my foot of the floor."

"the only thing that wasn't in the instructions was that you have to take out the wind shield washer fluid tank to get at one of the bottom bolts that holds the factory air box in. other than that it was a piece of cake installing it. there is no hesitation when you step on the gas."

"I have noticed better throttle response off the line, and much smoother exceleration at highway speeds. I would recamend this be the firt thing you should do to increase performance of your truck."

"The intake seems to do everything that its supposed to do. i can feel the extra horsepower . My gas mileage is pretty much the same.I like the deep sound and think this is a great product. The istallation was a breeze.It took about an hour and I have very little experience."

"Installation was a piece of cake! The sound increase at first was a little dissapointing but the filter broke in and my 1996 Crown Vic sounds awesome. Also when driving conservativly I had an increase from 23 mpg and less, to 24.57 mpg mixed driving which is great!"

"I installed the new filter, and it took me back to my teen age years, where we turned the air filter cover of dad's car over to let the engine breath! A rush of power! Don't tell dad I raced his Cadi!"

"This intake is definately good to go. I was told by the customer support for AFE that is this the most labor intensive intake that they offer. You litterally get about 5 inches of workspace. I must reccomend that you adjust the breather element instead of just attaching it to the air pump as they direct you to do, I had some water get into the filter. Other than that the product and performance is great. You will now be able to hear our turbo spool up louder which is awesome!"

"Since my new FJ was getting only 15mpg, my friend recommended getting an intake. After much shopping, yours was the product most recommended by customers. It was a little awkward to install (my boyfriend's opinion) but I immediately noticed more power and a throatier sound. After going through several tanks of gas, I'm getting about 3-4 more mpg. Can't complain about that!"

"Great product, worth every penny. 2-3 mpg increase overall city, highway and towing. Very noticeable increase in power that makes towing my bass boat seamless. Motors up any highway incline without having to drop down into low gear with increased gas mileage."

"Great product, however, the intake tube coming off engine is to close to the fan! I had to grind the tube face down in order to clear it and Im still only a quarter inch at most, away from the fan. Something Ill have to keep an eye and ear on constanty. Power and sound gains are quite amazing, cant tell yet if my mpg is any better though. I would recomend this intake over any oter!"

"Hmmm...not bad, for you to actually feel the extra power you got to really gun it(at least for me more than 4k rpms). Then again the whole point was for it to save me a few mpg's on the tank. Overall no complaint the installation was easy I thought it would be tough like the INGEN i installed on my maxima back then, but this was easy. worth the price you pay for i stick with this then an ingen. the intake is lighter than ingen my opinon. For Racing though hell YEAH you can feel it, but with gas now hmmm....."

"i highly recommend you to get this one.... it does meet lots of my expectations because i can get lots of power out of the engine and it sounds nice over the flowmaster system. Plus, it is so cheap, who could beat this price! I can get 20 to 24 mpg on highway going 65 to 75 mph. Before i get worse mpg going faster on highway, 14 mpg! Trust me you should get it and if you dont believe then suit yourself. oh the other thing, i drive a big gas guzzling dodge ram 1500 hemi. it really does save gas and i could go empty the tank in 1 and half week or longer if i go easy. Great work, aFe!"

"I found the installation quite simple and thourough. It took about twenty minutes to install (including removing the factory stock setup) and included a spot for the factory cold air sensor. I have noticed a nice jump in acceloration, as well as mileage. Exhaust is up next and I can't wait to see the combined effects!"

"I installed the AFE cool air intake on my recently purchased 2008 328I. The nice little performance sound was a plus but a 1200 mile round trip to Flordia really showed the benefits. I averaged 32 mpg at 79 miles per hour. Good investment."

"The only reason that I gave a lower score was installation. There is a flaw where the air box goes with my year and a light relay that is in the way. I just moved thre relay til I can alter the air box. Great product though. Awesome sound!! About 30 more miles to the tank!! Glad I got it!!"
