"The only issues that I think could improve are the following:
1. More noticeable number for AFE tech support.
2. With the digital world the way it is now the photo's of installation should be better.
a. Hard to see from the instruction where the crank case tube hooked in to the new.
3. performance on horsepower is better but mileage improvement is nothing to write about yet."

"I ordered the AFE cold air intake and did not know what to expect as far as ease of installation or performance. Make sure you lay out all your parts and read the instructions
twice before you begin the installation process. I had to reroute the transmission control module, from the front of the vehicle to the rear. If you are good with tools this process should go real smooth. After that, the rest of the installation was a piece of cake. I am a detail freak, so it took me almost 4 hours. Make sure that you replace the screws that you remove, so you will not loose them. I love the AFE cold air intake along with the new roar of the engine. Do not drive with the "over-drive off" or you will get a check engine light. The price paid was fair and less than the other more well known cold air intakes."

"Excellent product and performance.I installed this intake on my 2001 1.9 VW TDI. Along with this I also installed PP357 injectors and cleaned out the intake manifold(carbon buildup) Now im afraid of breaking the tranny! tons of torque and a super improvement in performance. I highly recommend AFE products!"

"I completed the installation in 30 minutes.
The CAI is nice and quiet until you hit + 3k RPM. Then you can really hear the CAI rumble.
MPG went from 21.0 to 22.5 which is nice for the 5.7 HEMI.
(I drive 65% Highway and 35% City)
It seems like it has a little more power as well."

"This AFE intake is a great buy and I would recommend it to someone looking to BEGIN modifying their car. The intake dresses up the engine nicely, has a nice sound to it and is very easy to install. Performance wise, I think my car is a little slower in lower RPMs (1000-3500rpm) but faster in the 3500-6000 rpm range. I would recommend buying a software upgrade to compliment this intake"

"Definitely what the Dr. ordered. I purchased the Gibson cat back single first and it helped some with my 08's performance but it wasn't quite what I wanted to complete a definite power surge. Hence the AFE stage II now coupled together with the gibson cat back exhaust WOW!! for bolt on horse power, it's scary, good thing I'm not 18 anymore or I'd of already lost my licence with this pair. At about 4000 r.p.m. it's rocket time get ready to shift. I drive a six speed not sure what an automatic would do. I don't drive automatics for personal reasons. I think it took longer to get the thing out of the box than it did to install. Once again alway's a pleasure to do business with A.A., Maybe a new throttle body spacer when they come available for 08's would be complimentary to this set up.Only draw back is the tube placement over the dipstick makes it a little tricky to get at it."

"The intake was simple to install. It only took about an hour to install. Box was missing one piece, but AFE was very easy to work with to get compensated for the missing hose. I do feel the increased horsepower. Not sure how the MPG is going to change. Haven't had it long enough to determine what kind of increase I will see."

"aFe claims an additional 11 hp and 15 ft pds torque, but I don't really feel it. I can hear the difference, and it isn't very loud, so that's good (I think). My main goal was to help with fuel efficiency, but I haven't filled up since getting it yet so I don't know if it made a difference yet. The installation was fairly easy, and the price was very good."

"I replaced my K & N cold air intake on my 2003 Chevy silverado 1500HD 4X4 with a stage II AFE cold air intake several weeks ago and have been very impressed with it so far. The only problem that I ran into is that I had to remove my throttle body spacer due to the intake tube hitting the fan. I'm thinking of replacing the fan with an electric fan in order to reinstall my spacer. Other than that, it was easy to intall, it sounds awesome, and I feel more hp."

"Good intake, i got the Pro-Dry. Shipping is really slow, expect at least 10 days. 5 days before I got a tracking number, then UPS had a "train derailment". Box came in with no damage, packaged good. Very easy to install, instructions were very clear to me. I read the comments before buying and I am not sure why everyone else had problems... Factory system came out in less than 2 min. AFE went in about 10-20 mins, tops. (I had most of it installed waiting for my wife to change before going to the grocery store...)MAF sensor was tricky to remove from factory setup, this took the longest. Sound is a louder over 2000- 2200 rpm and when engine down shifts to pass. More throttle response, truck seems to like it a lot better. It does not get wet when it rains, being in FL this was very important. Not too much of a MPG increase currently, I only went through one tank. I was also too busy "breaking it in" and showing it off. I estimate 1-2+ mpg with my normal driving as I currently get 17-18.25 mpg to and from work... A friend has a K&N and he gets 5 mpg more on highway with his diesel. I have not taken on the highway yet, so no info on highway miles..."

"This intake was very well made and looks great. It is more quiet than others. It made a profound difference in my truck's performance. My gas milage has increased, but I'm only on my first tank so I don't know exactly how much. The only thing I didn't like was the installation instructions. The pictures were too small and they were in black and white. That is the only complaint I have."

"Let`s tal about cold air intake.although I am not very good with tools, I could install the intake system, practically anyone knows q use a wrench and a screwdriver can install it. but if you really want power in, this ism`t enough. you will need at less a catback exhaust sistem, improve the electric system, some spark plugs."

"My stock airbox was a restrictive and convoluted device that I knew was doing my engine no favors. So I ordered my AFE cold air intake from AutoAnything, and it arrived very quickly. A brief inspection indicated no defects with the tube, hardware, or filter, and everything that needed oiling was well-oiled. A leisurely paced install took 40 minutes with no problems, and the instructions were accurate.
My daily city commuting mileage didn't change significantly, but when I'm carrying a full load of friends and cargo out on the open, hilly highway, I record at least 2 MPG improvement, an indication that the little four-banger isn't as stressed under those conditions as it used to be. Throttle response has also significantly improved. Sounds better (louder) too. All that for much less than other brands; I'm very happy with this product!"
