Description

Depending on the performance needs of your engine, aFe replaces restrictive stock parts with custom-tuned components. Most kits include an aFe performance filter of your choice and all come with a powder-coated steel heat shield to keep the air flow cool.

And, it gets better. Some kits actually replace the entire stock intake system. Your engine gets the maximum, most efficient air intake possible—monster gains of up to 50 horsepower! Notes

  • Some vehicles achieve maximum performance with minimal components. If certain elements are not available for your vehicle, it is likely you will get the best possible power increase with the available upgrade and your stock intake tract.
  • aFe Cold Air Intakes are designed to be 50-state street legal. Intakes for ’05 and older vehicles should come with a CARB certification. Intakes for ’06 and newer vehicles are generally still undergoing CARB certification.

"Installed easliy - uses existing screw and bolt locations so no drilling or modifications! Ony issue was a missing part as shipped by aFe, took another week to get it and complete the install. Adds a nice "throaty" sound at higher revs. Small perfromance improvement and will watch mpg. All in all pleased."

"So I love the way this air intake sounds! Fairly easy to install though I did have to remove a cooling line clamp for it to fit. The negetive is PACKAGING!!!! Every time I recieve a package the box is torn to shredss or it has not be tape well enough for the trip. Luckly the contents were not damaged but on the other Item I ordered the contents were scratched."

"Install instructions could have been a bit better. The photo guide has some photos of very poor quality. Instructions such as "pull vacuum connection off" are inaccurate. There is a tab on the vacuum hose which has to be squeezed to remove it. I figured it out after several unsuccessful pulls. Fortunately, I didn't damage anything. Secondly, the instruction to remove the grills by simply pushing out on them shows that the person who wrote the instructions never tried to do this. There are several tabs going around the grill that are impossible to disengage to remove the grills! With difficulty, I installed the scoops without removing the grills. I fail to see how the scoops help since the box which holds the filter has a huge opening on the bottom which is open to the engine compartment! Having said that, the car appears to be more responsive, although this may be purely psychological."

"Installation was not too difficult, but not easy, with trying to reach some of the fastening bolts. Once installed, noticable perfomance improvements on top end, and great sound from the induction tube! Overall, a good value and product...."

"Great cold air intake. Not too loud but you can hear a slight hiss of the turbos when accelerating. The car pulls harder now. Also looks cool."

"The intake seems to do everything that its supposed to do. i can feel the extra horsepower . My gas mileage is pretty much the same.I like the deep sound and think this is a great product. The istallation was a breeze.It took about an hour and I have very little experience."
