2000 mile test

"i installed[easy] my s/b air cleaner on my 06 ford f350 superduty crewcab diesal 4x4 the next day i drove to colorado 970 miles going from 540 elevation in calif, to over 7000ft colo. the truck ran great 75 to 80 mph the whole way in 80 to 110 heat i avg,18.7 mpg. tire size 275/65/r20. gearing 373. the return trip was also problem free. i had previously owned an airaid filtersetup it was very loud while street driving my sb filter is just slightly louder than stock havent really noticed a huge power or mileage difference but that may becouse the computer is still learning ive only put on about 120 city miles. the turbo does seam to spoolup a little better.ID buy this filter agian if i needed to."

"I put a S&B air filter on my 1993 Gran Prix 3.1 V6 and it showed an improvement in acceleration. Nothing drastic but better and my old filter wasnt that dirty so it wasnt just changing the filter that caused the improvement. I already got 27 MPG so I dont anticipate a huge gain there but havent had time to check it yet. Overall, I like it and I think you will too especially if you have a more powerful engine to show the biggest improvements."

"I installed an S&B Air Filter on on my stock, super-low mileage, 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. The car initially had a stock, paper filter installed. Upon highway speeds, the car feels as if it accelerates smoother and I noticed a slight increase in MPG. Nice product, easy to install and made in the USA."

"Filter was a direct fit into my factory air box. Not olny looks great but Put my fuel milage up too. Definately worth the price and cant compare to any others price to performance ratio."

"I have used k&n filters before and the do not compair to s&b filters. s&b filters are perfect in every way, i just dropped one in my for f-150 4.6 and i could tell a huge difference right away, more horse power and better gas mileage. thank you s&b filters."

"always use the leading well known brand in all my vehicles. switched oveer to S&B because of price. now that money is a little tighter I always look for value in any purchase. I hit the jackpot with S&B. Same performance, same look, same perfect fit, 2/3rd's the price, including shipping. "due to the caravans size and weight i wasnt able to tell if the filter gave any power but i know that filtration is better because i rev up a little fast now. gas.. i havent calculated my gas yet but i hope it will be better. great product and great website!!"

"This is my second sb filter on as many vehicles.My experience with the first after 2k miles was 8-10% improvement in gas milage. Instalation was easy. I expect the same from the second"

"I ordered this filter and received it 5 days later from Brown Santa. The first thing I noticed was how well this thing was made. The fit and finish were excellent. I immediately went to install it and noticed that the lip that seals the filter was pretty thick, and required a little extra effort to get the factory airbox to close and seal. Of course I went out and "tested" the filter. With my stock filter, the filter minder would constantly show yellow or red, indicating that the filter was "dirty" or restricted even though it was brand new. With the new one, it stayed in the green, showing that there was no restriction of airflow. Overall I am very happy with this product, and would recommend it to anyone."

"I have used K&N filters for over 12 years, but decided to try a S&B this time because of the price. The quality of construction just isn't there compared to a K&N. The outside pleats on the filter were covered with the black casing compound."

"For the price you won't find a better filter. The excelleration and resonse from the vehicle after placing it in your vehicle is great. I don't think K&N has anything on the S&B filter. In my Ford Bronco II I don't need to down shift as much as I did previously. It probably increases gas mileage around 1 mile to a gallon which will pay for the filter within a year."
