"The filter buckles a little when you attempt to close the cover. I had to "make it fit". Came in a plastic bag inside the delivery box with absolutely no instructions. Nothing about cleaning, etc."

"It was a simple exact fit replacement. Absolutely no modifications whatsoever. The only thing that I can find fault with is that there is no way to get the cleaner kit. Auto-Anything should have that right with the air filter order. It should come with the filter or a simple "add on" with the order. I still want to order the kit."

"When I received the air filter I did not receive a decal to place on the housing to detour technicians form missing with my air filter. I also believed the add stated that I would receive some cleaning solution with the order, did not happen."

"Installation was fairly easy. Took me about 20 minutes. Did not feel any change the first I drove my truck, 07 5.3 Silverado Classic. But when I took for a long drive, 500 miles, I noticed it had more power and the sound a lot deeper. I'm still hoping that it would give me more mpg. But I'm satisfied."

"After installing the S&B, I did a WOT to help the computer learn it can take in more air, it was like I added a 6.2L engine in. Quicker response and more power, with a 1 mpg gain too."

"I received two filters last week and put one in to my 2002 Ford F150 Supercrew and on a trip from Indiana home we averaged 20 miles per gallon vesus 17-18 with a conventional filter."

"I purchased the S&B filter for my Bonneville GXP. The Northstar engine was fast, but it's faster now. I've noticed an increase in power and trottle response but with those benefits, I haven't noticed an increase in gas mileage in the city. I haven't taken the car on a nice highway trip yet, but I'm sure the gas mileage will be better then as long as I can keep my foot off the floor. Great product and great price."

"Gives better mid-range response than paper filter, and got an uptick in fuel mileage. Impressive to hold, much heavier than expected and had to shoe horn into filter box. No unfiltered air is getting around this filter. S&B makes a quality filter."

Good Economy

"It was a snap to install,just the stock filter. I'm on my 2nd tank of gas and have noticed a slight (approx. 1 - 1.5 mpg) increase in gas mileage. The engine sounds quite (as stock) except when under HEAVY acceleration it does seem a little throaty."

"i expected a marked savings in gas similar to the k&n filters. i did not experience that and in fact the mileage has gone down. i also thought i would receive, similar to k&n, instructions on the care and maintenance of the filter. i did not receive instructions. at this point i am not impressed with the filter."
