"I recently purchased this product to take away a check engine light that constantly come on during a rain storm. I had the INJEN cold are intake installed in my 07 Mazda 3 and after searching on the internet for a possible solution I stumbled upon a forum that talks about how multiple users of this setup are having the same problem. I posted a thread and soon enough, I got a response telling me to purchase this item. I recently installed and immediately on the same day it rained. I cleaned my MAF sensor and filter, and to my surprise and happiness, no CEL. Great product to purchase if your having the same problem!"

"So far this product seems to function very well. It is still fairly new though so we will see as time goes on. Autoanything's price was approximately 1/2 of what Autozone wanted to charge me."

"I heard about these from a car forum I'm a part of and I heard about these. I was pretty impressed at how well it keeps out water. First thing I did when i got it was run it under the hose outside and it didn't let a drop of water though. I feel much better knowing my CAI filter has one of these on. No worried about hydro locking now. =)"

"I've had the Hydro Shield for a couple of weeks, however, certain other of Life's concerns consumed my time and the package, along with several other auto-related projects, went unnoticed until this afternoon. I was allowed a rare half day off and, given the ease of access to my air filter, I focused my attention there (e.g. cleaning, inspecting, oiling, etc.) and finally got the Injen pre-filter on. My idea of checking the weather often consists of looking outside and, therefore, I had no idea of the storm moving in. I had just made the right turn into the gas station when one of those sudden summer downpours left everything soaked; most important: the roads. Normally, my filter sucks up any moisture and gags my MAF sensor and needs time to dry out. Today was the exception. I'm convinced. Cheap; effective; mindlessly simple to install; perfect fit. Get one."

"I have made a cold air modification on a 2005 Range Rover The air filter cone is directly behind the grill, so water and mist protection was important. INJEN HYDRO SHIELD was a welcomed addition to the system. I recently took a trip to L.A. and the milage improvement was noticable , averaged an increase of 3.7 MPG....... :)"

"I purchased the Hydro shield after putting on a cold air intake on my Ford Focus. Hydro-locking an engine using a CAI is a very debated subject and I wanted a little more piece of mind so I bought The Injen Hydro Shield. I won't be crossing any deep water but if I get caught in a heavy downpour I'll have more confidence with the Hydro shield installed."

"The injen hydroshield is exactly how it is described. it is water REPELLENT but not water proof. before i put it on, i tested it to see its capabilities. i is good for light showers and such but not heavy rain. you would for sure get water inside your intake under seriously wet conditions. Puddles and light showers can be handles by the hydroshield. i give it a 4 out of 5 for doing precisely what it was described to do."

"It's not bad, i mean; it does the job for what the amount you put down. I would've gone with a full on metal CAI shield that will protect the intake from water, blood, and guts for another $20."

"I ordered this because I was afraid of getting water in my intake well this did the trick. This was the best investment I ever made. This is a great product for people that are afraid of getting rain sleet and snow to get sucked in threw their intake."
