"I got a hydro shield for my AEM V2 Cold-Air Intake and it works great!! Ran it under the water when I first received it and the water just beaded up and rolled off. Doesn't interfere with air-flow at all and still lets the intake sound great! Overall an awesome purchase for the money as it keeps my filter nice and dry and protects it from debris as well. (If don't know the size to get, Medium fits AEM cone air filters)"

"This thing is a must, really! It is worth the price ,and health of your car. Ive gone through some major puddles in the past couple days ,and noticed that it deflects water off the filter. It is also a washable and dosn't interfear with your horspower gains. Thanks again Ingen"

"A neccessity if you own an Injen Cold Air Intake and don't plan on taking your bumper off every time you think it will rain severely! Little more than a fitted durable plastic bag, the Hydro Shield may or may not actually save your vehicle's engine from water intake during adverse weather conditions. For a little more peace of mind, however, $25 is definately a good deal. Injen needs a water bypass valve like AEM!"

"I had consistent problems with my engine cutting out when watter drops would hit my MAF sensor. Lots of rain and car washing since I installed the Injen Hydro Shield, and ZERO problems with water getting to the MAF sensor!
P.S. I have a 2008 MazdaSpeed3 GT, with the Injen CAI."

"After reading other reviews, I did the sink test, and a very small amount of water seeped through the seams, but that is to be expected, if you are running a setup with a CAI, then you should know better than to park in a puddle and try to start it in a puddle as well - not only does it keep at least 99% of water away and let in air, it keeps dust and debris off as well to make the filter stay fresh longer."

"The injen hydroshield (medium) fits well for my Mazda 6's AEM CAI. It effectively repels water. Placed it in there just in case water comes in the compartment where my CAI is located."

"I've installed the Hydroshield about a week ago, on my Mazdaspeed intake, and it's been working great. We've been having alot of heavy rain the past three days, and there's no moisture in the intake tube at all. The Hydroshield is wet, but that's it! A worth while investment."
