Description

Nothing cools an engine’s jets like water from your air intake. Whether you’re driving through a slight drizzle or a typhoon, your motor is in real danger of drowning. Injen’s Hydro Shield, however, stops water from sinking your vehicle. Riding right on top of your performance air filter, this durable polyester cover repels water while still allowing a free-flow of oxygen.

The secret behind the Hydro Shield’s amazing success stems from its water repellent outer coating. It’s crafted using a sophisticated embedded hydrophobic process, which creates uniform rows of micron-sized pores. These openings filter out water and debris .005” or larger!

"when i first got this product i filled my kicthen sink with water. with the hydo shield on my hand, i put my hand in the water and it stayed dry. it was amazing. with the hydo shield on my xb their is no loss of power when it's wet. this product really works."

"Bought the Hydro-Shield to fit over an AEM DryFlow filter for my NISMO CAI. Fits perfectly. W/the excessive rains here these past few weeks, haven't had any problems...didn't(and don't) expect to ever have any issues w/water entering intake, but Hydro-Shield is a good preventative---along w/common sense, of course(ie., no driving through deep puddles)."

"It looks like a skull cap for your intake, but it will keep water from pouring onto your filter when you hit a puddle. My intake is completely out of site so the only bummer is the install...(but that's not the shield's fault)"

"I ordered a cover for my AEM intake and it fit great!( order medium for a civic). Before i put it on i splashed water on it and it just beaded off the side. Don't have to worry about anything getting into my engine. Also , this is the best price out there!!! only like 20 sumthing bucks here, but at my local shops they were charging 35-40. BUY IT !!! YOU WONT REGRET IT, and it looks AWESOME !!"

"I haven't had it very long, but last weekend on a trail, my truck took a huge puddle, but thankfully my hydro shield blocked most of the water and saved my engine. Doesn't affect sound or airflow. Worth it."

"I bought this to gain a little piece of mind about sucking up water into the intake. It does repel water quite well, and does not rob power either. I have had it both on and off, and the power gain still feels the same. You should still be careful though, as water can still pass through if the intake were pulling air hard enough."

"I bought the shield for my long ram cold air intake and so far so good. I've been in a few rainstorms already and no problems. I still have to watch out for large puddles obviously but this shield takes away all the worries of road rain. Deff. Recommended"

Problem Solved

"I purchased the Injen Hydro Shield to solve a problem. I moved from Georgia to Minnesota last October. Means snow, ice, salt, sand, etc. My CAI filter was nasty and tend to get more water logged through the car wash, hence washing away valuable filter oils. I'm confident the Hydro Shield will prevent it."

"I got the black hydro shield with the black injen intake. Together it looks hot, when you open my hood it really looks like a black filter because it fits so snuggly over the filter. It doesn't prevent air from flowing in (I know because of that "turbo spool sound" i get even during regular acceleration) I've had it for a month and I'm loving it."

"Just bout a new DryFlo AEM filter for my cold air intake, and this is just something to ease my mind . I live on dirt roads and in snowy weather and my old filter was literally dirt enriched lol. Having this on makes me feel a whole lot better, great price too."
