Description

Nothing cools an engine’s jets like water from your air intake. Whether you’re driving through a slight drizzle or a typhoon, your motor is in real danger of drowning. Injen’s Hydro Shield, however, stops water from sinking your vehicle. Riding right on top of your performance air filter, this durable polyester cover repels water while still allowing a free-flow of oxygen.

The secret behind the Hydro Shield’s amazing success stems from its water repellent outer coating. It’s crafted using a sophisticated embedded hydrophobic process, which creates uniform rows of micron-sized pores. These openings filter out water and debris .005” or larger!

You don’t have to worry about choking your engine, though. The Hydro Shield purifies the oxygen while still allowing steady airflow—and consistent airflow means rip-roaring horsepower and massive torque. "Great product for cold air intakes. Now I can splash over puddles without worrying about damaging my engine. My friend didn't have one and now his engine locked up on him I feel lucky I got this in time or that would have been me too."

"Does a real nice job of keeping road tar & muck off of the reusable air filter I have. Makes it much easier to clean the air filter when necessary. The added bonus is water resistance if splashed. Well worth having for a little more peace of mind."

"The Injen Hydro Shield helps keep out water whenever you hit those puddles or flooded streets. Plus it keeps the filter cleaner for a longer period since it blocks out those larger debris. It just gives a piece of mind when it comes to your CAI air filter."

"It's primary job is water repellant and it does a perfect job at that. But for me the advantage is not having to clean dry leaves, muck, debris, and insects out of my filter. So all of this came as an added bonus."

A must buy for wet weather CAIs

"No problems at all. a cinch to put on, has an elastic ring around the opening. I was a little sketical, so I put it around my hand and hit it full-force with the sprayer on my water hose. Works as advertised, only a couple of tiny drops made it through, not enough to make it into the filter. I live in the Seattle area (rains ALOT) so this will keep my CAI filter from getting weather-beaten every year."

"I placed an order for the injen hydro shield on 11/28/05 and recieved it in about 4 days. The item was in stock and was processed right away. The hydro shield is great, I took it out the box and ran it through water and it didn't get wet at all. It's such an amazing peice of material for people who have Cold Air Intakes installed on their car. This makes it much easier to clean the filter and its water repellent."
