Description

Nothing cools an engine’s jets like water from your air intake. Whether you’re driving through a slight drizzle or a typhoon, your motor is in real danger of drowning. Injen’s Hydro Shield, however, stops water from sinking your vehicle. Riding right on top of your performance air filter, this durable polyester cover repels water while still allowing a free-flow of oxygen.

The secret behind the Hydro Shield’s amazing success stems from its water repellent outer coating. It’s crafted using a sophisticated embedded hydrophobic process, which creates uniform rows of micron-sized pores. These openings filter out water and debris .005” or larger!

You don’t have to worry about choking your engine, though. The Hydro Shield purifies the oxygen while still allowing steady airflow—and consistent airflow means rip-roaring horsepower and massive torque.     Top: The circumference at the top.

"Everything is perfect about this item. Did the sink test and my hand stayed dry. Only trouble was getting it to fit over the filter (I should have ordered a large, not medium I'm guessing). No noticable restriction to airflow to filter in my opinion. Very well priced for what it is/does. Price went up $10 after I bought it though -Lucky me."

"This item fitted perfectly to my filter. I had a huge downpour in Missouri a couple of itmes so it was a good test. Used to after mild rains my filter would be damped, with this the water just reppelled and the filter was dry as it can be. Another plus..dirt and such just falls off...this will keep my filter clean for thousands of miles"

"Covers the Air Filter very well and looks better than a bare filter to the naked eye. Installed it to cover the frame and filtering material of new flow through air filter. Has not affected air flow or gas mileage, etc."

"After reading other reviews, I did the sink test, and a very small amount of water seeped through the seams, but that is to be expected, if you are running a setup with a CAI, then you should know better than to park in a puddle and try to start it in a puddle as well - not only does it keep at least 99% of water away and let in air, it keeps dust and debris off as well to make the filter stay fresh longer."

"I've installed the Hydroshield about a week ago, on my Mazdaspeed intake, and it's been working great. We've been having alot of heavy rain the past three days, and there's no moisture in the intake tube at all. The Hydroshield is wet, but that's it! A worth while investment."
