Description

Nothing cools an engine’s jets like water from your air intake. Whether you’re driving through a slight drizzle or a typhoon, your motor is in real danger of drowning. Injen’s Hydro Shield, however, stops water from sinking your vehicle. Riding right on top of your performance air filter, this durable polyester cover repels water while still allowing a free-flow of oxygen.

The secret behind the Hydro Shield’s amazing success stems from its water repellent outer coating. It’s crafted using a sophisticated embedded hydrophobic process, which creates uniform rows of micron-sized pores. These openings filter out water and debris .005” or larger!

You don’t have to worry about choking your engine, though. The Hydro Shield purifies the oxygen while still allowing steady airflow—and consistent airflow means rip-roaring horsepower and massive torque. Plus, the Hydro Shield comes in three stylish colors: Red, Blue and Black. Covered by a Lifetime Warranty.

Notes

  • For a proper fit onto non-Injen Air Filters, check the following measurements of your current filter:

Base: The circumference at the bottom.

Top: The circumference at the top.

Tall: The height from base to top.

"For somebody who doesn't believe this product works, I dare you to buy it and stick it under a faucet. It works wonderfully. It's cheap peace of mind for all the people with aftermarket intakes to help prevent hydro-locking. Direct fit!"

"HAVENT HAD SERIOUS RAIN SINCE I INSTALLED IT BUT IT WAS ALOT CHEAPER THAN PAYING FOR AN ENGINE IF I HYDRO LOCKED IT. SUPER EASY TO INSTALL."

"The day after I installed my cold-air intake, there were heavy storms in my area. The storms were so heavy that it was difficult to see the car ahead of me on the highway. I drove around in the rain (responsibly) for a bit, running errands. Once the storms cleared, I checked the pre-filter and it was mostly dry. The little water that was left on it was beaded. $25 is a small price to pay for more protection against hydrolock. This, however, won't protect you if you decide to submerge your intake. If you try to ford a river with your car, you'll get what you deserve--same thing if you drive like a maniac in the rain."

"Works really well, has prevented hydrolock in situations it normally would occur. Put it on the day before a huge storm, flash floods and all, no issues with the engine at all. :] Great product for anyone with a cold air intake."

"It serves its purpose, but it's really not needed. I seriously doubt you'll suck water into your engine unless you sink your front end and rev, which would mess it up with or without this shield. There was a shipping problem too and it took entirely too long for it to get to my house. if you're really concerned about hydrolocking, go for it. I wouldn't recommend it though"

"Overall this is a really good product. I did submerge it in water and it held up for a few seconds. It is really good for splashes and you won't have to worry about damaging the air filter. I really trust this product."
