Wouldn't say that I can detect any change in performance but the K&N folks have convinced me that having a maroon colored filter is cool! Since this has been installed on an occationally driven show car it should be the last filter I will have to buy.

I feel if you keep it clean with suggested oil nothhing could work better for letting your engine breath. With the cost of fuel this air filter will be a great (tool) for fuel and engine performance.

I haven't noticed any difference with the K&N versus a regular filter. And given the way the 440 gulps gas, it'd be nice if there was a diff.

I used the drop in K & N filters on both my 2004 GMC Samoma and 12,000 lb GMC Motor Coach with the 455 cid Olds. I have seen an improved response in both. I will know better after a few over the road trips.
