Easy to install and basically it was the price of two basic air filters. Engine makes a different sound (better) and Wow what a difference in the get up & go. Waiting for the first fill up to monitor the gas mileage. My wife even says her Grand Vitara feels and drives like a different vehicle.

I use K&N on all my vehicles as the first or 2nd mod I do. have not ever seen any really noticeable performance gain but I like being able to clean and reuse the filters rather than throwing them out. I clean every oil change (6-7000 miles when using synthetic) and it takes about 15 min. I drive on dusty roads and like the oiled fabric aspect of the filters for this also.p

Although the filter is a great product, there was only on flaw. The bag it came in leaked out the oil a bit. I guess it wasn't strong enough to seal in the oil the filter has inside. Other than that, I loved the quality and ease of it.

I have had great luck with K&N filters in all my vehicles. I have used drop-ins and cold air intakes from a Suzuki Grand Vitara to a SRT10 Viper powered Ram 1500. More power and a little better MPG.

In a 6 or 8 cylinder its almost impossible to detect any real change in operation ,but from past experience I know the K&N filter gives that extra power when needed . example when I had my 4 cylinder Hyundai accent with 4 people in it going up a large hill in the mountains it would top out a a certain speed after the k&n it kept on pulling faster . I am expecting some better Gas Milage a couple more !

Over the years, any vehicle that I purchase one of the first things I do is replace the air filter in the vehicle with a K&N. Even though the filter in the vehicle is new it doesn't allow the vehicle the performance and mileage a K&N product does. The fact that the filters are rated "lifetime" for the vehicle means that you aren't paying for a replacement every 10,000 miles for a traditional filter.....you do the math!

While the price may seem high at first glance, for this application, the K&N was within a couple of bucks. I have used these filters in several vehicles as well as my Honda Shadow. Now, if they would only make one to fit my Vulcan.
