This is a noticeable difference compared to the stock filter. Out performs it by far and the fact that you can't just clean and reuse it is great. Definetly recommend as an easy upgrade to your car for added performance.

Filter quality is outstanding - I've used K&N before. This is not for any performance difference for me, just less costly, longer lasting and satisfying to install my own rather than pay Audi. I will say that the Audi airbox is a PIA to open and reclose but no issues with filter install.

Just a great product. K&N does their research and what they advertise is true, more horsepower and definitely better gas mi;leage. There is no btter filter on the market today.

I have installed K&N filters on many vehicles over the years (350Z, BMW M3, VW Passat, VW GTI, to name a few). My last K&N purchase (prior to this one) was for a 2006 Porsche Boxster S. The dealer recommended not installing it because of previous problems and possible voiding of the warranty. I chose to heed his advice and returned the filter to you for full credit. My Audi dealer has also raised some concerns about the filter affecting the sensor on the air cleaner, but has not said he would not install it. The Q5 is going in for some minor problems and the dealer will determine if it is safe to install the K&N filter at that time. It seems that I am finding more difficulty with new cars and installing the filters. I have always installed my own in the past, but they are becoming more complicated. I will advise (and probably return the filter) if I have problems with this one as well. Harry
