Easy install and the directions were straight forward if you need them. I didn't give this max rating because one of the nuts that was supplied with this kit that is used to hold down the intake box was not threaded. Shows poor QC on AFE's part... Other then that everything was in the box and took about 35 minutes to install. My MPG haven't increased and have actually gone south but I have been using sport mode more since the sound this thing makes is ridiculous, especially if you have a exhaust

Have only had the intake on for about week, so I don't know if gas mileage has improved. There does appear to be more power when you hit the gas hard and of course the sound a cold air intake makes is almost worth the price alone.

Installed in my 2012 Toyota FJC TT, very easy to install. Includes very detailed install instructions, anyone who can read can install this product. Looks and sounds great and you can really notice a gain in hp, especially in the 3k+ rpm range.

Pretty easy installation, except for 1 pain point. The rubber gasket around the air intake did not want to stay attached. In the end, it doesn't interface flush anyway, so probably not a big deal if not a perfect install. It's only been 2 weeks since install so this isn't a great sample, but I'm seeing 1-2 mpg increase over 2 gas fills.

the looks of this is impressive. very easy to install only took 45 min or so. sound change at higher rpms, low rpms not noticable. still tracking if there is a mpg improvement. prodry filter works good so far. good buy imo.

I found the installation to be relatively easy, and the fit to be *pretty good* on my '11 4runner - minor flexing of the box was required in order to fit the top cover over all 6 holes. Most importantly, the 4runner has a noticeably better response time when pressing the gas, and as a side benefit, sounds a bit beefier. The mpg is *slightly* better, but it will take a while to recoup the $287 investment.

I bought this CAI basically to get a deeper sound in my 2010 4Runner when accelerating. All CAIs claim improved MPGs and more HPs. I've only had it for a single tank and I'm not seeing any improvements in my MPGs; however, I have been hitting the throttle just to hear the new sound. So perhaps the MPGs will improve slightly when I get back to "normal" driving. As for power, well the "butt dyno" tells me I've got more. But in reality, it could just be that the engine just sounds more powerful now. I didn't buy it for improved MPGs or more HPs. I bought to help improve the sound and I'm very satisfied with it.
