These work really well for me. We live on a dirt lane so I change out all of my vehicles to this type of filter.

It was very easy to install and only had it in for a week or so. See how the fuel milage is in a few weeks with a road trip.

AFE oem filter for 2014 Ford Flex

Very nice looking, well made replacement filter made with a synthetic media that is used dry - oil is not used like some which may cause MAF sensor problems. The filter perimiter was slightly thicker than OEM which made it harder to install than it should have been - but nothing a person could not overcome. Really improved air flow to engine and increased both power and MPF (if you can keep your foot out of it).

To order this filter I had to order a filter for a 2011 Ford Edge. The 2011 Edge and 2012 Explorer use the same size filter. At under $40.00 and cleanable the cost over all will be less than good paper filters. The over all MPG (which has not been reset) has increased .2 MPG.

The rubber seal fits a little tighter than stock which is a good thing. Haven't had a chance to test on a long trip, but I think it will improve gas milage a bit. Got worried when there was a different model on the box, but it fit perfectly. Must fit more than one model.

Great filters. I purchased one for our 97 toyota since the disposable was only 10 less than the washable. Since the car is not really a high performance car, I have not really noticed any difference in hp or mpg. In our other car a 08 Ford Edge, it sounds better and the mpg has gone up by about 2 per gallon. We are really happy with the purchase. I am buying a new car soon and purchasing a aFe Pro-Dry will be my first add on.
