K&N Air Filters Reviews

saving money, buying less gas

Reviewed By Allan L (Littleton, CO) Reviewed for a 1998 Cadillac Catera —7/12/2010 3:34 PM

This is the 2nd K&N air filter I have bought. I bought one for my 1999 Jaguar XJ8 last year and it gets over 2 more miles to the gallon of gas. I have had the new K&N air filter in a 1998 Cadillac Catera for 5,000 miles. The Catera was getting 25 miles to the gallon and with the K&N air filter it is getting over 27 miles to the gallon. I will not have a car with out the K&N air filter. Easy to install and maintain. I recommend the K&N air filter to any one. Sincerely. Allan

On the fence

Reviewed By Darryl R (Edmond, OK) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Tahoe —6/7/2017 4:19 AM

Purchased this filter to install in my wife's 2015 Tahoe LTZ since it had not been changed in 30,000 miles. Decided to go with the charcoal filter because of the constant dust here in Oklahoma. After install, I noticed a horrible humming sound after the A/C was activated. It would get louder as you turned the air higher. Tried switching filter around to ensure airflow arrow was not wrong, same issue. I've decided to go with a standard OEM filter in lieu of this issue, hence the markdown.
