then i took a chance and bought it. pretty spectacular. no it won't block a stream of water from your facet, and is especially leaky where your fingers are in contact with it. however, general high humidity and normal splash and rain haven't touched it. my filter is down in my wheel well, forward of the right tire. if any position is going to get wet, it's this one. haven't sucked water once and i can't notice a difference in performance nor sound. also, i call this a condom for my air intake because of how easy it is to put on. i didn't move anything at all, you just slip it right over your filter. ALSO: the dimensions they post for these filters are mislabeled. when it says circumference of top and bottom, it means diameter. it seems believable on the site, but go out and measure your filter, base circumference of mine was 16" or something like that.

I was sceptical at first I've used K&N filters in the past they do work although my two main beefs with K&N is that the filters shrink over time and the oil carryover into the sensors. The drop in AFE Pro Dry S Air Filter has made an inprovement over the stock unit. I have a stock Scion XB with a little over 43,000 miles on it. My mileage has improved 1-2 mpg average 28-29mpg city highway combined. My XB seems to accelerate alot easier(it's hard to keep it from going into the seventys without trying very hard). My mileage might improve more if I keep my foot off of it. I will be inspecting it in a week or two when the oil change is due. Does AFE have a replacement Pro Dry S filter for a 2008 Prius or a 2009 Camry 4 cyl? I think my sons would like one for their cars too.
