I've put 500 miles on my 2011 Ford Fusion SE, 2.5L after installing the new filter which was as easy as removing the factory paper air filter, dropping in the aFe filter. The engine is definitely peppier. There is no oily residue to worry about messing up the Mass Air-Flow meter either. The engine no longer hesitates when accelerating from a stop plus the engine has plenty of power getting on the highway. It was worth the extra cost because it is the last filter I will ever buy for the car.

I have not had the filter in very long-only 200 miles so far. INSTALLED THE SAME TIME AS A FLOWMASTER AXLE BACK SERIES 80 DUAL TIP MUFFLER. GETTING ABOUT 1.5 MPG better according to my jeep computer! Will let you know more in the future. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF DIRECTIONS SHOWED WHICH SIDE IS UP- ONE SIDE IS FLAT THE OTHER SIDE IS PERTRUDED- PUT IT IN WITH FLAT SIDE UP SEEMS TO WORK OK. ALSO MOPAR SHOULD HAVE MADE THE AIRBOX COVER EASIER TO INSTALL ANY FILTER!!!
