K&N Air Filters Reviews

Fuel saving air filters

Reviewed By Vic K (Mineral Point, MO) Reviewed for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler —5/29/2010 5:57 AM

I own 4 vehicles including one diesel motorhome. I am always in search for ways to save fuel. I have debated over the years whether to get K& N filters or not. Their ads have been very tempting but I hesitated until now. I don't have all the data from all 4 vehicles yet but my first test vehicle , a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins diesel, showed an improvement of fuel mileage from 18.5 to 22.5 miles per gallon. If that is any indicattion of fuel mileage improvement, then I am a happy camper.

I got this to help out in the winter(I live in North Dakota), and it's done a great job so far. It's on a AEM V2 on a '98 accord 2.3L VTEC and doesn't suck in much at all when you rev it out. Point being, air flows through it quite nicely. It does what it's supposed to do at a fair price. Not a whole lot more you can ask for. I'll probably get a couple extra. Be sure to measure just the filter element and not the whole filter assembly when you're selecting a size.

AEM DryFlow Air Filters Reviews

No Brainer

Reviewed By NATHAN S (Reston, VA) Reviewed for a 2013 Jeep Wrangler —6/22/2016 6:10 AM

Easy to install. Easy to clean, especially after dusty off road trips. No need for messy oils, and it gives you better air flow resulting in smoother power delivery. Put the "do not replace" warning sticker on your air intake box so no more "pesky" mechanics will say it's time again for a new paper filter as you take the chance that they don't reattach your air box correctly. This all saves money, equaling a No Brainer.
