aFe Air Filters Reviews

It's noticeable compared with a standard filter

Reviewed By PETRUS I (Fullerton, CA) Reviewed for a 2005 Mazda 3 —1/5/2011 9:52 PM

Used the Afe filter on a 2005 Mazda 3s. The engine delivers the power and the transmission is shifting gears smoother. I can't measure any performance increase but I can feel a smoother delivery of the power as the brand new filter is installed. I don't know how long this condition will last. I hope that it will be for 15-20K as advertised. The price is 4 times more than a factory filter but the benefits are not four fold. I don't think is easy to justify the extra cost. Next filter will be a standrd factory filter for 25% of the price.

Quality Workmanship, Top Performance...

I replaced a regular paper air filter with a K&N Air Filter from AutoAnything. There is a noticeable mileage gain and I believe a slight performance increase. I pamper my car so having an air filter that'll last me 100,000+ miles with cleaning and oiling rather than purchasing an air filter from the local auto part store of questionable quality is great!

AEM DryFlow Air Filters Reviews

No Brainer

Reviewed By Robert H (Granbury, TX) Reviewed for a 2012 Mazda 3 —3/15/2016 7:57 PM

As far as I'm concerned the AEM dryflow filter for my Mazda 3 was a No Brainer. 32 bucks for a filter that will last most likely the life of the car. Just pull it out once a year and clean it.The OEM cost close to 20 bucks and it's one a done then buy another so Obviously the AEM will pay for itself a couple times over in the long run. I've noticed a small boost in fuel economy and throttle response. Big shout to AutoAnything for free overnight shipping. I've never seen that.
