As far as I'm concerned the AEM dryflow filter for my Mazda 3 was a No Brainer. 32 bucks for a filter that will last most likely the life of the car. Just pull it out once a year and clean it.The OEM cost close to 20 bucks and it's one a done then buy another so Obviously the AEM will pay for itself a couple times over in the long run. I've noticed a small boost in fuel economy and throttle response. Big shout to AutoAnything for free overnight shipping. I've never seen that.

Used the Afe filter on a 2005 Mazda 3s. The engine delivers the power and the transmission is shifting gears smoother. I can't measure any performance increase but I can feel a smoother delivery of the power as the brand new filter is installed. I don't know how long this condition will last. I hope that it will be for 15-20K as advertised. The price is 4 times more than a factory filter but the benefits are not four fold. I don't think is easy to justify the extra cost. Next filter will be a standrd factory filter for 25% of the price.
