Life time air filter

The price of this filter is about 21/2 the price of a disposable filter but it last for ever. It is washable and that is a good thing. You can clean your filter every couple of months which has to be good for the engine. You like breathing clean air so does you engine. Have not noticed any change in my gas mileage but then again I get 24 mpg now so did not expect any change just from an air filter. But over all great buy for the money. My mechanic be-leaves in K & N air filters and he makes money selling disposable ones so that another positive. Ormond Beach, FL SLK 230 owner

2005 M B SLK

AFE filters dramatically improved driveability. Horsepower was already good with a 3.5 litre V-6 in a relatively light car but throttle response is amazing. There in no longer a slight knock on start-up. Engine breathes more freely resulting in smoother transmission shifts because trans operation is linked to engine sensors. AFE met all my expectations. Have not yet checked fuel economy but I suspect that also will be marginally improved.

Awesome!

It's a great filter. I love it and it's awesome talking about it. The description said it would fit in my 1997 Bmw 328i but it's almost too big. I'd say it's about 1/8" in width (if you were looking down at in your car, top and bottom). I had to work it, but it's in there. I still will buy another.
