First of all, it fits better than the original Motorcraft (or whatever brand) filter was in there. The boost in performance is noticeable. My old filter wasn't really dirty; I just knew I wanted to engine to breathe better, and man does it. Much more effortless torque and acceleration, and the idle is so smooth and quiet now. I would put this filter on a par with changing the oil in your engine and your transmission to really nice synthetic oils, maybe better. My Explorer runs like new.

Getting a lifetime oil less filter is a no brainier upgrade. Increased flow to the engine means a small increase in power and fuel economy. Which eventually pays for the filter in savings. Then instead of getting a new filter in 30k miles just wash the oil less one and you're good to go. Plus in most vehicles anyone can install the filter. It's incredibly simple and quick
