K&N Air Filters Reviews

trying it out

Reviewed By Christina J (PEMBROKE, VA) Reviewed for a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am —6/3/2015 8:10 PM

My fiancé ggot a K&N intake for his Dakota and it helped with mpgs and hp. So i thought i would try it in my Pontiac Grand Am. Eh. I'm not sure about the gas yet (my plus need to be changed), but i could tell a slight difference in hp. All in all its much better than buying filters all the time. Plus, i put the K&N sticker on my kayak :p

Dry and no oil- good!

Reviewed By Mark Adrian S (Pensacola, FL) Reviewed for a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am —4/18/2013 1:26 PM

I purchased this because of fearing of oil in my MAS. Installed in my 2003 grand am. At first it don't fit. I was fighting with it But then i realized all you have to do is lift the cover back all the way so the back part will come flush in the box. Overall its a good mpg. My mom drive the car so i don't really know if they earned mpg. Being reusable and washable and oil free is a plus. Wish i had it before.

High workmanship, but a pain to fit

Reviewed By Arunabh C (CEDAR RAPIDS, IA) Reviewed for a 2007 Mercury Milan —6/20/2016 12:10 PM

The air filter has a solid build and inserting it added a growl to the sound of my engine. The problem with this filter was that due to it's better quality material used it is slightly thicker and not as bendable as the factory filter, this gives it a very tight fit in the air filter compartment and one has to struggle quite a bit to close the air filter compartment tightly
