Pro: In the long run it'll pay for itself versus replacing with a new filter every time you need the air filter to be free of debris and dirt. Con: You now have to get a cleaning solvent and filter lubricant for it if you want to reuse it (the reason I got this to begin with); K&N sells that too. As far as appearance, the color makes it a bit more difficult to just open the air box and peak in there to see if it's "dirty" like with the white paper filters. A "potential" problem I can see is the lubricant travelling to the air sensor and disrupting operations. Neutral: Didn't see any power gains as claimed by K&N; cleaner filters are always better for "performance", no? But it's not why I bought it.
